My dad bought an auto 2011 fj cruiser new. One of the last off the boat that wasn’t irradiated from the tsunami that year. My family’s only car for 8 years. Moved across the country 3 times, towing everything we had. Gave it to me as my first car a couple months ago. Incredible machine. 138,000 some miles. It’s been off road a lot, when doing research on a bison heard it got rubbed on by bison, leaving some marks that really tell a story. Been through mountains, plains and everything in between. Still fully stock. No repairs needed. Only damage is some cosmetic from use over the years. I’m gonna keep it in the family forever.

@733Rafael there have been 56 episodes of hyperinflation since the start of the 20th century. They can be divided into 3 major groups war or it's aftermath, the collapse of the Soviet Union, developing countries. Most were very short term, all took place while other countries currency remained stable. You are predicting 60,000% inflation for most of the world, something that has never happened. If you truly believe that stock up on tinfoil now, your hats are going to cost $10,000 soon. But please don't tell me you are buying overpriced gold or freeze dried food from the same people that convinced you the world economy is going to crash, they are playing on the fear they created. Just got an extremely nice Army Green 2010. It's a really solid driving feel. Very well appointed option wise. It's even a decent highway ride with aggressive tires. MPG is OK for the ruggedness of this thing. Planning on using it as a daily driver and a bit of car camping.

I raced so many cars/trucks for fun and won most of them. I had a 6speed manual and knew how to launch it right :p I also crossed high waters many times during harvey to rescue friends and family. It can go up to 30 inches not 20. Stock. Went off roading many times too and never failed on me. I miss this truck so much, I will have to turn around and get another one. I got it at 100k miles and lost it at 155k. Over engineered machine.

I absolutely LOVE my FJ! It’s a 2013, bought it used in 2015 with 32k on the odometer. I pull a small fiberglass travel trailer which it handles easily. It never gives me problems and I am never worried when going off-road. It’s a serious 4x4 that can hold its own. It’s not a Trail Teams (I’d love if it was), but with its options it’s not far off from a Trail Teams. I plan on keeping it for many years to come. Not unhappy at all with it!

I've put over 150k miles on it trouble free. If you're looking at getting a manual transmission the gas mileage is 18 tops and I get 14 to 16 with aggressive tread. The auto has a higher running gear ratio for higher milage but the 6 speed is more geared for off road.

My 2010 FJ Crusier is plenty roomie in the back seats, and the suicide doors make entry really easy. You just have to be able to use the mirrors as rearward vision is not very good. The V6 engine is smooth and powerful, and we love to travel in it as the ride quality is wonderful. We love our 2010 FJ Crusier. Just buy a large wireless camera and have a big monitor. I bought my '07 FJ when it first came out. It has 165k miles and counting. Side mirrors visibility are limited, but it can be easily corrected with a mini mirror attached. Not so much with spare tire on the back. Been in 3 accidents all 3 were caused by the other driver. The last accident was a head on collision and still here to tell. Safety for my family is the only reason I'm keeping my FJ until the wheels fall off or Toyota reproduce the them.🙏

Great vehicle I hope they make a 4 doors someday even if a limited Edition! interesting side not a customer I had said Toyota called them out of the blue one day asking lots of questions about what they thought of the vehicle and what could be improved etc. They were under the impression that Toyota maybe considering a new version down the road.
