I got 4 calls from spoofers this morning alone. It's insane!!

It sucks when you use phone for business and you have to pick up every call. As if things weren’t difficult enough today.

Even worse than that is people that serve us during the night and HAVE to both sleep in the day AND keep an ear on phone in case their children or whoever needs them in emergency etc. Being involved in ANY company even non profit that is making cold unsolicited robo calls really are the SCOURGE! Lowlife SCUM of the world! Heartless!

@@nigelwolfe6150 if you have an android, you can set do no disturb but still allow calls on your contact list to come through. Another thing is download an app that automatically hangs up on known robocallers

These have given me anxiety to pick up the house phone, whenever it rings my heart sinks and I dare myself to answer it, I get at least 4 of these per day

The best method I've found is that if you don't recognize the number, deny the call immediately. If they are real, and if it's at least moderately important, they'll leave you a voicemail. The last thing you want is to get 25 calls a day from scammers.

Also you are talking to someone and your phone is beeping in the background because its a scam likely caller.You end up hanging up from a important call because of these annoying scammers.They need to pass stricter laws about there rights and hours to call ppl.Consumers need more rights also! No one out there should have to deal with these relentless ppl everyday! Do not call registry does not stop all calls.

I combat these scammers with robocalling them back on their 800 numbers and throwaway VoIP numbers..

I usually talk very softly to them so that they will need to turn up the volume quite a bit to hear me. When I'm sure that they can hear me I give them a blast from my boat horn. I'm sure that the caller has said many expletives and went deaf for several minutes afterwards. :-D Please wear hearing protection when you do this or your ears will suffer too.

Back in June 2022 at school during my exam test I had robocalls I turned on flight mode so it doesn’t call but when I came back home I had robocalls again then the next day later the robocalls are stopped calling me.

One time I received a spam phone call from a British phone number claiming to be the American Social Security Administration.

I set up an account with Direct TV. I backed out of the deal and went with Dish. I got scammed (attempted) right away. So how did my number get in the hands of scammers so quick? Indian call centers.

They can put people in space and send things to Mars... but they’re just now getting around to cracking down on this?

Because going to mars is harder but simplier (you build a rocket and you are done) but with the calls the solution is more complicated

@@f.b.i.2600 honestly, its not that difficult, but it would require a lot of extra things. For example,.whenever you receive a call, instead of answering, it hangs up and calls back the number that called. Right away, this will make spoofing useless. So, if the spoof a government number, it will just call back that government number. Call centers will just need to upgrade their systems for when particular number hangs up, it automatically reroutes that call to the original caller. You can even add an extra "captcha" type thing that requires the caller to enter a 4 digit pin that's somewhat scrambled to make it difficult for machines to recognize but easy for humans before going through all that. Unless they can fix the phone system to prevent spoofing, I don't see an easier solution.

i got a bunch of calls from a female robot, all different numbers but it wasnt a,,, full number. there wasnt the last four digits, instead there were three last digits. it stopped calling me just yesterday. the message it kept saying was "goodbye" then hanging up after.

my dumbass used to think that voice mail (which had my number and picture) was a scam robocall since i heard of. and that is how i literally never picked up voice mail

Do not pick up when the nr. is not familiar; if it is important they will leave a message. Keep track of the numbers, then block them.

its a zero effort way to look for victims, let a computer call a LOT of number, and then when you find a "mark" that actually presses 1 to speak to a real person, that's when any human work actually happens, and they can talk the mark into giving them money.

Check your phone apps permissions...they can make calls using your number...I denied All permissions on phone app & couldn't use phone..Totally Ridiculous...they got More control than You concerning your phone

I hate Robocalls! They always pester me at school! Private Numbers are even worse!

Answer those robo calls and try to figure out the company name and address. This was you can write a letter to that company saying, "Hey you broke the law, now you have to pay ME the $1,500 fine for calling me without consent. " Often times they will settle with you so you don't sue them

Why are only Americans getting them? I am from somewhere in Europe and I never have gotten a scam call or RoboCall.

Don't make a video explaining robo-calls ! They should be completley outlawed and drastic penaties put on any entiy that makes them. Beyond that companies that make computer programs that make VOIP need to be shut down and their programs outlawed ! I'm older, and they waste the time I have left !
