Not 50-50 Large caps are first 100 companies Midcaps are 101-250 companies So its 100 large and 150 midcaps

@@DisciplinedTrader27 Its not a single index.. Its 2 indices put together.. It jus rebalances qtrly.. Its not 1 to 250 stocks Market Capped.. Its 1 to 100 MarketCapped and then 101-250 another Marketcapped.. Jus like 2 seperate funds - Axis 100 Index + Navi Midcap 150 Index

If you invest Rs 100 in this index then 50 Rs will be invested in Nifty100(Large Caps) and 50 Rs will be invested in Midcap 150 (Midcaps) Hence it is a 50:50 allocation. He is right.
