Here’s why to not stress over depositions!

I’ve taken thousands of depositions over the past 20+ years and if I’ve realized anything, it’s this: 98% of depositions never see the light of day. Or in other words, most cases don’t go to trial. Less experienced lawyers - including myself many moons ago - tend to put pressure on “nailing” the deposition. Don’t waste time stressing over perfection, focus on getting what you need, and realize you can always have another go around if needed ⚖️💪🏻 By the way, if you haven’t heard yet we’re hosting a Defense Talk Series in person at the City Club, downtown LA, for all who want to attend! It’s going to be a great event to understand how the defense thinks from former defense attorneys who are now at ‪@AlderTalk‬ . I am in a civil case where the defendant is lying, submitting false evidence and the OC responds that she is not violating any rules since she is only submitting what her client gave her. Do you think that's legal?

It has to be verified under oath by the client. So you can catch him in perjury
