In this video Andy takes you on a tour of Matt's extremely rare 1984 Holden Calais VK before taking it out on a drive. He reviews the car and shows you exactly why this car is an Australian Icon.
First Matt explains why the Holden Commodore is a beloved Australian icon as well as what makes the car special to him. Next Matt gives Andy a tour of the car including all of its interesting quirks and cool features, before the two take the car out for a drive.
Matt talks about the fierce rivalry between the Ford Falcon and Holden Commodore as well as Holdens elaborate motorsport history. Andy asks the question, are you a Ford or Holden lover?
Later the two take the VK Calais out on a drive where they show off the Holdens advanced digital dashboard and blue interior trim before unleashing it's 5L carbureted V8 to hear is glorious exhaust note!
Together they talk about the history of Australian car culture and how it's becoming increasingly difficult to find good examples of classic cars such as Andy's Jaguar XJ6.

That Digital dash is Lit!. The best years of my life were spent riding shoty in my late best m8s VK in the mid 90s worked 202 manualised auto lol welded diff , air cleaner hanging out of the bonnet before hornet scoop added pursuit rims low of course sports exhaust.Loud as F sony cd stacker stereo.Nostalgia!. Me i like Holdens Fords and Valiants.
