Did you get it new? Would you say it says clear of mechanical problems ?

I love that 380hp in my 2002 Lightning ⚡️⚡️ It has 32k miles on it.

Must do mods: 6lb lower pulley tr6 plugs gapped at .32 Sct tuner + oil separator (catch can) Anything else will just be overkill.

I've still got my late Dad's in the UK. 2000 with 37k. Sending it to my brother in Australia for its 25th birthday (LHDs can only be imported to AUS after 25 years). Nice video thanks!

I had a 1994 L that I purchased new, then traded that in on a (then) new 2001. It is still stock with just 47,000 miles on it. People tell me it still has that new car smell inside. Heh. Nice ride. Love the whine under boost.

Maybe 2004 was different, but I was pretty confident there were two options. The factory vinyl soft tonneau cover, and the tow package. Not commenting to poo poo on your video, I loved it! Great looking truck! So glad you talked about the euro tail lights. Very polarizing! Personally I prefer them over the 99-00, but I'm partial because I owned a 2003.

I think the 6 disc cd changer was also an option. But you're correct on the tow package & tonneau cover.

Red 03 team here. I don't have the 60mph thing he is whining about. Ppl roll up on me and do the 3 honks you want to let the boost be built up for 90 sec after you last used your boost. And don't lose!

This truck is a classic and in such great condition too

If your going to spit numbers you need to actually learn them first. 99-00 had 360 horse and 01-04 had 380. Also wrong is the overhead compartment was added in 01.

I agree but he didn't even push it. Mine is 20 yrs old no engine mods and it screams harder. All stock. Except my sound gear / insulation probably makes mine 700-1000 lbs heavier.

One thing that bothers me about these trucks and i have an 03 as well. I just do not understand why they would use black plastic on the steps all the way around and then use grey upper and lower grilles with grey bed rail and tailgate caps! they should have just used black all over or grey all over. I know the harley trucks had black bed rail caps which looked good but they were painted from the factory and would flake off after awhile.

Great video and a very nice Lightning too! Miss my black `02 sometimes... And at 5:12 in the parking is a nice Jeep SRT8! I traded my Lighning many years ago into a `06 Jeep SRT8. With kind regards from Switzerland 🙂

How tall are you? just curious if the headrest is high enough as my dad is 6'3"

I thought these would skyrocket once Ford started selling the new Lightning. The gen2 Lightnings are in the top 5 best trucks ever made, and the current all electric may go down as the most worthless piece of tish of all time.

Even with the 90’s Broncos it took some time for the market to adjust, I still believe the SVT lightning has a high ceiling in a few years

My 2000 svt has 218,2000 miles drive your truck with confidence. I put in a new alternator. A new ac compressor. Other than that its original

The 8th digit is the engine code, 3 means it has the supercharged 5.4 and is only found on L's!

@@AmericanVsImports Not to be *that guy*, but the 02-03 Harley trucks are also VIN 3 with the same engine.

Its not a 2004 its a late 2003. On the first 2004 edition the body and rims change. Thank you!
