It always irks me hearing people say a damn near 500HP STREET vehicle is slow. Everybody don't need or want a 700HP car especially if you don't take it to the track. Not defending the price of the vehicle though. It's not selling because it's too damn expensive. A car like this should be around 30-40k.

Even the 5.7 RT while it’s not the fastest out there it’s still not “slow.” The new mustang is fast enough but I guess it’s also wrong to charge what they are charging for a car that’s slower than the outgoing when they know as most buyers care about numbers.

I got a Performance pack level 2 at 50k solid back in 2020. Recaros, big wide 305 Michelins at all 4 corners, borla atak active exhaust with a 6 speed manual. Zero percent interest for 72 months through ford credit.I don’t see myself even looking at an s650 unless it’s a dark horse. It has to be the dark horse with the handling package with the wide wheels and tires fully loaded. And at the price of the dark horse I might as well save and look hard for a GT350.

Not a good comparison it wasn't "faster" it was about the same and the s550 had a way stronger motor which was alot better for boost and the s550 was a totally different car. It was actually "all new" this is not. It rides on the same s550 chassis it even looks like a facelifted s550. It's a slower s550 with anlocked down ecu. Why would anyone want it? When the s550 came out it was a totally different and better car, it handled better and could take alot more power with forced induction and had way more potential. None of that is the case here in fact it's the opposite it doesn't have near the potential because it's locked down.

Where did you get the 100k price tag? The S650 starts at $42,495 for the GT Fastback and 47,015 for the GT Premium. The most expensive trim is the Dark Horse which starts at $59,270. The Ecoboost S650 starts at $30,920. If you order through Ford Motor Company then you can pick your options and get the S650 for MSRP. You will be waiting a few months though.

The problem i see is just like when the Mustang was introduced, Ford loses sight of what the car was intended. Every model after first gen got bigger and heavier. So, raising hp isn't enough to overcome the bloat. This was susposed to be an car accessiable to the everyman, 100k even 50k + is a stretch.

What we expect is something that is totally different and totally better than an s550 in every way stock and modified potential it shouldn't be a facelifted s550 riding on the same chassis with a tablet glued to the dash and a locked down ecu aka shit potential compated to s550s. The fact people defend this just blows me away fanboying is a powerful thing. I have always bled Ford blue but the stuff they been doing since 2020 can't be defended and the "s650" takes the cake.

Love the content, but for this vid I think there's a few notes… It definitely is not slower. All this dyno controversy is done on cars without proper break ins, first oil changes, and a speed limiter where you have 2-700 rpm’s left. Some are running in the rain or through incredible humidity, Middleton motorsports made 450whp... lots of GT's made 10 over the 3rd gen. Steeda ran an 11.22 @125 with weight reduction, drag pack, and an exhast. Stock tune... not too bad. Weight seems exactly similar (if not lighter) according to CJ Pony Parts. Plus a '22 SS 1LE on e and header lost to a bone stock s650. Same with a gen 3. Where are GT's running 100k+ ? If the car you're looking at is not selling at msrp, then find a new dealer. Order or buy it out of state and get the break in miles on the way back home. Some (albeit very few) have gotten theirs under MSRP, and i got mine for MSRP - Pre Price increase (dark horse, M6, HP, AP Recaros). Ford can drive up prices because they own the market. If you want lower prices, get on the backs of dodge and GM to bring back the competition. We shouldn't shit on ford or we'll lose one of the last true NA gas manual cars left. I think there are places to improve (tech integration, steering feel, most definitely QC) but we should be appreciative of what we got, and encourage companies to show that there's still a market for gas cars.

@@sycomantz I'm not trying to be disrespectful but you didn't pay much attention to the dyno charts. We aren't looking at peak power. We are looking at power delivery. The 2023 makes the power faster even though it has 8 less hp. 2024 has more power than older Coyote Mustangs but it takes longer for it to make that power. A 2013-2023 Mustang will take it off the line. Imagine being at a red light in the city in your 2024 GT and the next stop light is 1500 feet away. A 2013 GT pulls up. Light turns green. You both hit it. The 2013 is ahead of you by a car or 3/4 of a car at 60ish mph (because we are somewhat trying to be responsible and not go 100 on city streets). The longer the race, the higher the chance that the 2024 GT will beat the 2013 GT because of peak power difference. 2013-2023 GT stock for stock is quicker at lower speeds than the 2024...

The mustang is not the problem. The dealership markups are the ones to blame. And also this car is fresh to the market they just started shipping them out a few weeks ago so it’s too early to say “it’s not selling”. In 2024 once Dodge goes electric & Chevy discontinue the Camaro all those customers will cross shop the mustang & boom there’s your sales boost. This s650 is not THAT much slower than the last gen it’s literally like 0.2 of a second. You can make that up with an Exhaust & K&N drop in air filter. Let’s just appreciate the fact that ford is keeping the Mustang traditional with a V8 & no signs of switching over like dodge & discontinued like the Camaro. The 5.0 is just an ENTRY level V8 ford hasn’t even announced the rest of the lineup

I bought a 21 mustang a few months ago with 5k miles on it. Practically a new car with used car price. I had 2015 but sold it a few years ago. I wanted one back. So glad I got. It's premium with 10 speed and lcd cluster. I still go online looking to see what is available. Very few used gt premiums avaioable. Even less for a new 23 mustang. The 24 mustangs are a flop.

2019 GT premiums were $20k cheapers than their new MSRP in under 2 years Some folks spent $80k for a new Mach1 and anyone can buy a used one now for $50k I would expect someone paid around $80k+ for a Darkhorse and could have been offered $50k for it when they asked for an appraisal from a dealership. With literal millons of Mustangs on the used market and more being produced every day, they dont normally grow in value with age.

1) The S650 is actually faster. American Muscle did a 0-60 between the two cars and the 2024 was the fastest 2) I don’t know where you are seeing $100k mustang GT… all dealers in my area are at msrp and I actually got a discount on my 2024 GT 3) It costs more due to inflation. Try finding a 2020-23 mustang GT under $40k… not gonna happen

The car is not slow.. but the fact that the dealers are boosting the price of a mustang to crazy prices is what is making this car not sell. This is going to eventually make car manufacturers cut out the dealerships. Time repeats itself.. eventually the dealerships will only be where you go pick up your car after ordering it directly from the manufacturers. The dealerships will have to be humbled, and go back to making their money from servicing vehicles again.

Damn muscle cars can’t catch a break,,, we got the last v8 muscle car but is slower than the previous gen is just crazy… about the Camaro there may be a tiny bit of hope,,, I heard a rumor that they are thinking about doing the Camaro the same way they did the corvette Eray, and there will be a coupe and four door version of the Camaro,,, if anything it might just look like a 6th gen with a Cadillac Ct4 body.

It always irks me hearing people say a damn near 500HP STREET vehicle is slow. Everybody don't need or want a 700HP car especially if you don't take it to the track. Not defending the price of the vehicle though. It's not selling because it's too damn expensive. A car like this should be around 30-40k.

I got a Performance pack level 2 at 50k solid back in 2020. Recaros, big wide 305 Michelins at all 4 corners, borla atak active exhaust with a 6 speed manual. Zero percent interest for 72 months through ford credit.I don’t see myself even looking at an s650 unless it’s a dark horse. It has to be the dark horse with the handling package with the wide wheels and tires fully loaded. And at the price of the dark horse I might as well save and look hard for a GT350.

Not a good comparison it wasn't "faster" it was about the same and the s550 had a way stronger motor which was alot better for boost and the s550 was a totally different car. It was actually "all new" this is not. It rides on the same s550 chassis it even looks like a facelifted s550. It's a slower s550 with anlocked down ecu. Why would anyone want it? When the s550 came out it was a totally different and better car, it handled better and could take alot more power with forced induction and had way more potential. None of that is the case here in fact it's the opposite it doesn't have near the potential because it's locked down.

Where did you get the 100k price tag? The S650 starts at $42,495 for the GT Fastback and 47,015 for the GT Premium. The most expensive trim is the Dark Horse which starts at $59,270. The Ecoboost S650 starts at $30,920. If you order through Ford Motor Company then you can pick your options and get the S650 for MSRP. You will be waiting a few months though.

The problem i see is just like when the Mustang was introduced, Ford loses sight of what the car was intended. Every model after first gen got bigger and heavier. So, raising hp isn't enough to overcome the bloat. This was susposed to be an car accessiable to the everyman, 100k even 50k + is a stretch.

I took one for a test drive here in Charlotte the other day, and that’s one thing i noticed. The take off felt just like my RT and it kinda took me by surprise considering its a bit lighter than my big ass Boat. I did love the sound of it though.

What we expect is something that is totally different and totally better than an s550 in every way stock and modified potential it shouldn't be a facelifted s550 riding on the same chassis with a tablet glued to the dash and a locked down ecu aka shit potential compated to s550s. The fact people defend this just blows me away fanboying is a powerful thing. I have always bled Ford blue but the stuff they been doing since 2020 can't be defended and the "s650" takes the cake.

@@midnight347Come to Chevy 😏 Test ride a zl1 and you will never think of a mustang again, trust me. If you're patient enough, find a CPO one and snatch it. They are always fairly priced by good Chevy dealers.
Love the content, but for this vid I think there's a few notes… It definitely is not slower. All this dyno controversy is done on cars without proper break ins, first oil changes, and a speed limiter where you have 2-700 rpm’s left. Some are running in the rain or through incredible humidity, Middleton motorsports made 450whp... lots of GT's made 10 over the 3rd gen. Steeda ran an 11.22 @125 with weight reduction, drag pack, and an exhast. Stock tune... not too bad. Weight seems exactly similar (if not lighter) according to CJ Pony Parts. Plus a '22 SS 1LE on e and header lost to a bone stock s650. Same with a gen 3. Where are GT's running 100k+ ? If the car you're looking at is not selling at msrp, then find a new dealer. Order or buy it out of state and get the break in miles on the way back home. Some (albeit very few) have gotten theirs under MSRP, and i got mine for MSRP - Pre Price increase (dark horse, M6, HP, AP Recaros). Ford can drive up prices because they own the market. If you want lower prices, get on the backs of dodge and GM to bring back the competition. We shouldn't shit on ford or we'll lose one of the last true NA gas manual cars left. I think there are places to improve (tech integration, steering feel, most definitely QC) but we should be appreciative of what we got, and encourage companies to show that there's still a market for gas cars.

I saw a vid yesterday comparing a 2023 GT with a new one on a dyno. The 2023 made far more power off the get go. The 2024 would be playing catch up despite the whp difference. I thought I was trippin'...

@@sycomantz I'm not trying to be disrespectful but you didn't pay much attention to the dyno charts. We aren't looking at peak power. We are looking at power delivery. The 2023 makes the power faster even though it has 8 less hp. 2024 has more power than older Coyote Mustangs but it takes longer for it to make that power. A 2013-2023 Mustang will take it off the line. Imagine being at a red light in the city in your 2024 GT and the next stop light is 1500 feet away. A 2013 GT pulls up. Light turns green. You both hit it. The 2013 is ahead of you by a car or 3/4 of a car at 60ish mph (because we are somewhat trying to be responsible and not go 100 on city streets). The longer the race, the higher the chance that the 2024 GT will beat the 2013 GT because of peak power difference. 2013-2023 GT stock for stock is quicker at lower speeds than the 2024...
I can’t wait to get my new edge man. I love them 2015 bodies tho 🥲

The mustang is not the problem. The dealership markups are the ones to blame. And also this car is fresh to the market they just started shipping them out a few weeks ago so it’s too early to say “it’s not selling”. In 2024 once Dodge goes electric & Chevy discontinue the Camaro all those customers will cross shop the mustang & boom there’s your sales boost. This s650 is not THAT much slower than the last gen it’s literally like 0.2 of a second. You can make that up with an Exhaust & K&N drop in air filter. Let’s just appreciate the fact that ford is keeping the Mustang traditional with a V8 & no signs of switching over like dodge & discontinued like the Camaro. The 5.0 is just an ENTRY level V8 ford hasn’t even announced the rest of the lineup

I bought a 21 mustang a few months ago with 5k miles on it. Practically a new car with used car price. I had 2015 but sold it a few years ago. I wanted one back. So glad I got. It's premium with 10 speed and lcd cluster. I still go online looking to see what is available. Very few used gt premiums avaioable. Even less for a new 23 mustang. The 24 mustangs are a flop.
Bruh my s650 performance package is 61k. Not 100. I may be in the minority but I like the new version body, and I’ll wait until aftermarket unlocks for tunes in Less than a year.

I mean I love that personally but you're talking apples and oranges. The kind of fun my '98 Z71 silverado brings is much different from my nimble & fast '89 corvette lol. Used to have a '13 GT mustang before the vette. No regrets.

Where you getting these prices? On fords website the darkhorse is 60k and the gt is 40k I get if you’re talking about dealership markups but that’s the dealerships that’s not ford themselves
I agree the prices are too high as far as slow I don't know I bought a 2015 a few years ago I came from tracking Miatas and Hondas and with the little tunes I put in my Mustang it's enough for me.

How can it be slower making more power at about the same weight. I’ve seen video of them being weighed and placed on the dyno by LMR, Steeda, and CJ. Mind you there is a rev limiter because the car to new to tune just yet.
Just got a roush stage 2 supercharged 21 gt. 650+whp and its a beast with a 6spd .
100K is insane for a mustang. With that budget, go get a c6 ZR1 and still got enough to do heads and cam.
2019 GT premiums were $20k cheapers than their new MSRP in under 2 years Some folks spent $80k for a new Mach1 and anyone can buy a used one now for $50k I would expect someone paid around $80k+ for a Darkhorse and could have been offered $50k for it when they asked for an appraisal from a dealership. With literal millons of Mustangs on the used market and more being produced every day, they dont normally grow in value with age.

Mill and Port the heads balance piston and rods.a torker 2 aluminum intake, and Port match the intake and heads as well as the headers to the heads. Nice Holley carb. Select a nice grind cam.

Base msrp on 650 GTs are 42,000 … And GT premium is 46,000 without add ons like performance pack and active exhaust.
1) The S650 is actually faster. American Muscle did a 0-60 between the two cars and the 2024 was the fastest 2) I don’t know where you are seeing $100k mustang GT… all dealers in my area are at msrp and I actually got a discount on my 2024 GT 3) It costs more due to inflation. Try finding a 2020-23 mustang GT under $40k… not gonna happen

Man I bought a red 5.0 brand new for 28g back in 2012. What a riot! Ford is smoking with current pricing for what is basically the same vehicle.
Don't forget that the Mach-E isn't selling at all either. I refuse to call it a mustang.

You do know that the dark horse is just a 5.0 with mods right? Calling one slow and not the other doesn't make sense. The coyotes haven't been considered slow sense they debuted. Only thing I agree with you is the price

Where is bro getting the info for a 100k price tag on the GT?
The car is not slow.. but the fact that the dealers are boosting the price of a mustang to crazy prices is what is making this car not sell. This is going to eventually make car manufacturers cut out the dealerships. Time repeats itself.. eventually the dealerships will only be where you go pick up your car after ordering it directly from the manufacturers. The dealerships will have to be humbled, and go back to making their money from servicing vehicles again.
Maybe it'll be like the 2010 mustang gt, a slightly more powerful 3v mustang with a new body style. And then the next year they'll bump up the horsepower and performance of the s650 GT. (I hope it's like this)

Don't waste your money. Gen 3 yote 10 speed or gt350. You can't even tune the new mustang so it is what it is. If you don't believe me go watch YDBT Alejandro Flores KZread channel explaining why this car is a fail and he tunes a shit ton of coyotes here in florida.

Everything is becoming too expensive for the average person. What do they think average people just ride around in cash cars?
Even where I live the gt is only 50k cad. Canada is usually overpriced compared to the states. I have however seen a few dark horses for that price.
I sold my 2018 GT, and I owed 17k left. They gave me 24k for it + a 3k sales tax.

Damn muscle cars can’t catch a break,,, we got the last v8 muscle car but is slower than the previous gen is just crazy… about the Camaro there may be a tiny bit of hope,,, I heard a rumor that they are thinking about doing the Camaro the same way they did the corvette Eray, and there will be a coupe and four door version of the Camaro,,, if anything it might just look like a 6th gen with a Cadillac Ct4 body.

what im more excited for is the I6TT from dodge, supposedly the new HC power plant can handle 1000hp from the factory, and stock HP will reach about 1200 on the top of the line model. The v8 can be laid to rest forced induction has entered the chat. Im all for innovation on gas engines not so much electric cars

I didn't pay anywhere near $100k for my GT Premium. I paid MSRP. There are some dealers selling Dark Horse for $100k but not a GT
