The whole skinship between samesex members is not queerbait, cause if you search about same sex friendships in korea in the perspective of people who lived there, you'll find out that they are really like that to their close friends, in and out of camera. Still, when it comes to LGBTQ+ people, they have a lot to improve, but when it comes to fragile masculinity in touching, hugging, kissing other man, it's pretty natural among close friends.

And if idols talk about something which just has a little bit to do with feminism/ even if it’s just about some women power - like with naeun’s phone case - people/ Korean netizens will talk/ will get involved. For example, only men are required by law to go to military for 2 years, women are favored in family court decisions, women can falsely accuse a men for sexual assault with no evidence and can get away with it, and the list goes on. Feminism in sk caused this massive change in the political and social system that degraded men and victimized women, people- including many women- have started to reject feminism in order to combat the 'victim' mentality that caused so much harm in the society- like a massive drop in the annual birth rate, hundreds of men being falsely accused of sexual assault every month, and spending tax money for 'families' but all of them being directed to women. However, the type of feminism that they so much reject is the 4th wave feminism, not the 2nd wave if you know what the differences are.

maybe SK misinterpreted "feminism" a lot. "feminism" isn't about female vs male, its about humans vs male patriarchy. we all know, even if you are a male, that males are much more capable of doing violent actions more than women. and that was feminism is about, empowering women against 'danger', and not against men. also, feminism doesn't have to be just for women too. you can be a feminist even if you're a man. reading a book about it won't hurt, idk why they're reacting like that with irene. PLUS, namjoon also reads a feminist book but he gains respect. maybe people just hate irene and it wasn't right! :(

This is devestating our Kpop idols can't even have their own and speak about their countries, even for Taiwanese idols. The Kpop industry is so toxic and just wants to keep these girls for their entertainment. Alone with the JYP Entertainment, should be receiving tons of backlash for what they have done. Kpop idols doesn't matter Men or Women should have their rights to speak about whatever they want and they don't even have any rights to speak about other actions in the US such as BLM, LGBTQ+, and so much more. Not only are the Kpop idols being treated like this our American actors and singers they are being treated like this too. Because these companies want M.o.n.e.y! they don't want their idols to have time or get any sleep. They can't even eat any food they want which isn't Okay! and it's not okay to keep these idols silent. I have tons of respect of our Kpop idols, but not their agencies they don't even let them be who they doesn't matter if your gay or straight or homosexual you just be you. After all our Kpop idols should get better treatment and shouldn't be kicked out be they are Gay. It's because they should be who they are . No. Saying "humanism" erases "female" from the equation. It denies the cultural factors that deem violence against women ok. It makes control over the "fem" ok. It's DaBaby saying homophobic comments to a MAN & people being against him MEANWHILE he's on camera hitting a woman & the internet shrugs. It's "she was asking for it" & "what were you wearing" when 1. clothes has NO bearing on whether ladies of any age are attacked & 2. no one asks for it - but THESE hold up in a court of law. The girl saying she had been mistreated at photo shoot goes to court: "why were you there" "weren't you secretly flirting" "What were you wearing? Why did you agree to it? Why didn't you insist on wearing something else?" YOU CAN NOT BE A HUMANIST AND DISMANTLE OR EVEN COMBAT THESE VERY GENDER-SPECIFIC ISSUES! #feminism PS I bet you dollars to donuts Seohyun only said that to get the male cry babies off her back.

It breaks my heart that many young queer idols cannot come out and be who they are. They have to cater towards the young, straight fanbase of the opposite sex and it truly disgusts me. Huge respect for dear Holland for being himself and doing what he wants as an openly gay idol, but poor guy did face a lot of hardships, like not being allowed to debut and having to create his own company, and having his music videos be R-rated. I hope we can change. I hope all queer idols will be able to live freely and comfortably with themselves and their sexualities. Love and peace always!

There isn't anything wrong with feminism. 99.99% of feminists are feminists for the correct reason, they want equality for men and women. However there are obviously going to be a small amount of crazy people with any movement, who take it too far. This very small amount of feminists say "All Men are evil". This is very unfortunate because that is not what feminism is, but because those small amount of people say that, they misrepresent feminism to be something it is not. This causes many men to misunderstand what feminism is, and proceed to be anti-feminist. I think this is very unfortunate because there is actually nothing wrong with feminism, men and women being equal.

About Taiwan... wait guys, it's not a simple question at all. I will support completely Taiwan if it will ask for an independence status supported by the mass majority of Taiwanese. But it's not the case. 1) even in Taiwan people are divided about that, of course there are people asking for independence, but there are others that want just autonomy as province and even people that want reunification. 2) that's because technically the official name of Taiwan is ROC. Republic of China. Since it claims itself as the true and legitimate state of China, never totally defeated by the communist party. 3) so technically even now they are not at all claiming the independence since it will automatically give the authority and the victory of the war to the popular republic of China. 4) even USA declared that there is only one China. So, we have a problem, but it's not black and white. And whatever Shuhua think about that is ok, but an tv kpop show probably should avoid to open the question. Maybe an historian tv program will be better. PS. The flag and the legal constitution of ROC was the originally one of China, so it's older than the actual Chinese flag and indeed can be interpreted as claim on all China.

To be more precise, Taiwan was originally the "real China" but they lost and CCP took over. To be considered sovereign is not by personal choice. It is by agreement from the rest of the world. You can claim the moon is yours, but if other countries do not agree to it, you can't do anything (unless you block them by force). In Taiwan's case, US has decided to consider CCP as the "real China" because they wanted to do business with them. Its allies then follow suit. Also, it is important to note that the majority of Taiwanese want independence. The party that has won the elections is pro independence. The main problem is that they are unable to defend themselves, and much of the world still wants to earn money from China rather than give up the money for another country. Therefore, they need to settle for status quo so that they don't anger China to the point of an invasion. Look what happened with Hong Kong. 1 country 2 systems? You really believe that China stuck with the agreement for 50 years when Britain gave Hong Kong back? The real Hong Kong is gone, and nobody came to Hong Kong's defense. Taiwan is worried that the same might happen to them.

@@l0vet075 I will humour you just once but your claims are red herrings: If you want to talk about origins, then a lot of places will belong to someone else. It is irrelevant because wars are fought, and countries (or lands) are won and lost. Just because it originally belonged to someone doesn't mean that it should belong to someone now. This is like saying you sold your iPhone to someone else, but since it originally belonged to to, you should get it back. The only reason why Taiwan gives in to China in certain places because Taiwan is unable to defend itself from a full scale invasion by China. Plus it is uncertain if the US will come to its defence. But if you have been following the news, a couple of years ago, Taiwan redesigned its passport to show its defiance to China. As for names, I cannot help but feel that this is indeed quite a childish claim. This is like saying, "My name is Aaron so nobody should have the same name as me." It also reminded me of a video where an Asian American was confronted and bullied saying that he wasn't American enough. All he did was raised up his t-shirt and showed the horrifying combat scars that he got through his service in the military. I'd dare say at that point in time, the entire room agreed that he was definitely American enough. Your race or name does not determine your identity.

@@KyrieRuwachHosanna anyway my point is that Taiwan actually IS independent from China de facto. Remaining in the Shuhua controversy, the problem is the flag.
