Initially, I've been trying to adapt to literally everything. The toxicity, the new combat system, the playstyles. Hell, even my ping randomly shooting up to 400. I don't know why I'm trying so desperately to love this game. All I'm hoping is that drowning's team can fix their game before even a large fan like me starts to hop off.

To be honest, for me, as a player who reached 20k and left a rating, this does not seem like something new, I noticed it and will notice it every day, I literally watched 4 or 5 people on one of the servers praying for the death of the mother of one good dude who did That's right and just came out ignoring them, the only thing that really annoys me is that this game, like many other competitive games not only in Roblox, will drag you into their toxic swamp, and you will become the same terrible toxic toad, sometimes when I log on to the servers they write to me - "Wow, you have 20k and streak is over 60, you're probably the god of this game" and all that, but when you remember how you were cursed for it, you don't feel like it's something meaningful, it's more like a stigma, in fact, if you have more than 16k - 18k, people won't want to fight you, because they understand they have no chance, and when they see your crazy Win Streak, they just admire you from afar and shun you in battle, I literally have to fight either very rare champions or newcomers who just entered the game because other people don't want to fight me. I would like to hide my rank.

It's stupid and everyone will immediately understand that I'm a fucking smurf, I don't want to create a new account because I want to continue my journey from what I started, and not look for an excuse every time to turn left or right, it's banal to become a beginner who destroys champions. And how can I become a Smurf when I hate them so much myself. I’m sorry you had to experience this. But it’s important to know how experienced a player is before fighting him. If you couldn’t then you would never know which player was good and which was god teir. And also, running into somebody who can pd every m2 AND m1 is not something somebody wants to deal with randomly. How this games rank system is made seems more of describing how good you are and not how experienced you are. They should change it to rounds played and NOT SHOW THE STREAK. streak hunters make me lose sanity tbh bro.

I still play ranked since I do enjoy it and thankfully I haven't ran into to too many toxic players. However, runners are a major issue and they should do something similar to Anime Showdown where if no one takes damage for 10 seconds then you gain this dash that brings you to your enemy allowing for a lot of damage. This could stop runners since they wouldn't wanna be sneak-attacked by this all the time. Imma put this in the server and hope a lot of other people do as well and drowningsome listens

The easiest way to fix passive play is by adding like 100 second timer that resets each time someone gets knocked, and if it reaches 0 it disables backdashing for both players until someone gets knocked

i appreciate you voiced my (and any other logical persons) views w the kimura n hitman thing and ykw man ranked is a CESSPIT i once wanted to get to undisputed and 20k was a milestone but everytime i got close a toxic sweat came in and took it from me. drowning needs to fix ranked and make it way more rewarding.

What they should do to counter passive play is add a rush mechanic to close the gap fast between you and your opponent

To me, balance changes cause styles to become unbalanced rather than balanced. I'm a main slugger and in the ranking I feel terribly nerfed because it doesn't seem fair that a long guard hits me from 3 kilometers and I can't do anything and also that the cooldown to dodge and the "buff to the dash" is ruining all

The ping issue is real. Got to 22k with 70-110 ping and the recent updates made me abandon ranked completely. I can't compete against styles like Hitman, Long Guard or Ghost.

I used to play Ranked Mode, but I only played three matches and all of them were wins for me. The first match was me using Slugger against a Ghost user, the second one was me using Slugger against a Smash user and the third one was me using Hitman against another Ghost user. The reason on why I've stopped playing Ranked Mode is because some people are toxic fighters. I think there should be an update that you can fight against AI where you can choose the difficulty and style that the AI will be using. The difficulty affects the damage, aggression behaviour and health of the AI including increasing the money rewards if you defeat the AI.

The game lacks mechanics, and players that say ''nah the combat is fine'' are most likely golden rank, if you are champion, diamond rank (20k), and actually fight good players, you can see the flaws of the combat being really limited, being that: Agressive Playstyle has counterplay While Passive Playstyle has no counterplay Agressive Playstyle counterplay is basically: Counter Playstyle, Perfect Dodges, and dodges Passive Playstyle doesn't have a counterplay, and the best way to add a balanced counterplay to passive playstyle is adding **Feinting**: Which encourages more Agressive fighting because Feinting would be a bait for dodges. More controversial mechanic would be the Clinch, which in my pov adds more variety in combat, and doesn't seem overpowered if you try to balance it in your head

Actually, but ALMOST all styles can do this, Bullet, Long Guard, Iron fist, Basic, Ippo. The only ones who can't do this are styles that have a very small attack range, and very weak jerks, like Turtle.

For my personally I have a lower end device and my WiFi isn't too good, so I'm basically forced to play 100 ping, making perfect dodging like 100× harder. Like ping is defo gonna affect gameplay no matter what, but like Ugb takes this shit to a whole different lvl

That’s why i stopped bothering with ranked a long time ago. I just enjoy myself on public servers with friends and strangers who’re willing to fight.

I like UBG but majority times i get on and encounter few matches I just end up getting pissed off at the end or annoyed because of shitty hitboxes hitting me from a mile away even if i clearly dodge or block i just get hit, passive players. Just went against a ghost with bullet and I kept getting outsped by his m2s when i clearly hit with an m1 and I just keep getting hit because the guy was playing passive and i kept having bad ping that keeps randomly spiking. I feel like to nerf passive play is a person NEEDS to throw a punch to actually initiate their PD or something because it just so annoying playing this game. Also not to mention i love getting so many wins then lose 1 match in ranked and -200 rt and i need to do 2 or 3 annoying extra matches to get back where i started

I’ve been playing this game since Hawk came out and I’ve been sitting on World Champion 1 for a while. I understand that the dodging update that drowning put out was supposed to nerf dodge spamming and make players less passive but to me I feel like ever since that update, players have been more passive then ever. Sure maybe people can’t backdash as much but that also makes forward dashing for more aggressive players (like me) not worth it. I feel like that update only supported more passive play rather than combating it and I’ve just been having a real struggle to have the motivation to play because it feels like the only way to win (in higher level matches) is to play more passive than your opponent otherwise I’ll simply be read and counter or perfect dodged. Dodging has also felt more sluggish to me ever since and it’s been really demotivating because I’ve gone from perfect dodging every attack (not dodge spam) to perfect dodging once in a blue moon.

Yea the dodge change made the game more passive in some part player who engaged are punished and they bear more risk, Like why you want to punish player who want to finish a match in under 5 min instead of player who rope the match for 20 min straight. As for My idea to fix this is add a timer just add a fucking timer for god if the timer of the match ran out back dashing will be disabled and front dash will be enchanced

As someone who played the game since wolf was realeased, the bad ending to this is that drowning might not care about doing something about the passive playthrough

This part about ping is incredibly true, I'm tired of losing fights because my ping went from 150 to 200, fights that I would have won I lose because of ping, I just hate it so much.

also im a handslow main, and I always try to initiate an attack first or if they are a hitman i immediately dodge bc hitman is so easy to pd

The big thing about ranked is you can earn amazing titles and rewards however you also need to have a very good fighting style that suits best in your playstyle. The only problem is you go against passive hitman, back sway waiting game hawk, m2 spamming slugger and a very pro pdodger ghost and the lucky m2 puncher iron fist.....

I agree with every point stated in this video, I honestly just believes it comes down to the point where either the most passive/lower ping player wins. No matter how genuinely good you are at the game you cannot beat anyone with significantly lower ping than you or someone being too passive and runs away the entire match. I'm playing a boxing game not a tom and jerry simulator. Good video btw

Another thing is hiding rank. I played before the rank system's and people wouldnt wanna fight cause of my knockdown numbers. Now I'm not all that high I'm in that final stage for gold before I hit the next rank and most people avoid me if they arent Continental or higher. Or just a new player. I'll be in a lobby for mintues watching everyone fight except me. I got jumped by two guys who each lost to me individually after they jumped me. I used hitman so one of them changed to hitman and spammed me. So I just spun, got smash and he wanted to finally 1v1, he got cooked and they proceed to be toxic again. Like dude how you laughing at me cause I won?????? I just wanna be able to hide my rank as well.

I feel like a timer would be too much for a game like this (im talking about you hitman) I would more preferably like some decelerate system for concept something like, the longer you walk back the slower you will walk backwards. This way, passive players can actually be reachable rather than untouchable because they have busted range for how fast they can walk another concept is just make walking backwards cost stamina

I've sorta been on this downward spiral playing this game, my latest play session was just... terrible, all around even. Heck, when the game is all fine, I don't necessarily feel like Im having fun to the fullest, cuz there's just so many things about this game that can make or break this whole experience, I don't even know where to begin. Like, ping differences so bad, a lag spike can be considered a time stop for you and the opponent gets to destroy you in a split second. Hit boxes so nonsensical that styles that don't specialize in range (say ippo for example) can hit you while you take two steps back or so, or even the fact that you can be in breathing distance and still miss somehow w/out the opponent dodging away. Dodges and s that don't make sense, you'd believe you got out of the way safely but nope you got hit anyway (especially if you rubber band back into getting hit, god that just sucks), or how about getting pd by the opponent for whiffing a punch but you were already done missing but it still counted as a pd for some reason? How about ults? My god man, what fun is there to use it while not at kill range, land it, and either get hit afterwards or having it completely wasted if you get knocked down immediately after cuz now the other guy has all his hp restored. At the very least, the VERY least, I can get behind getting hit by a fast style, cuz fine I guess that makes sense, but nope I guess any style even slow as a dang turtle is just plus on frames to wail on you afterwards. This game at it's absolute worst is misery to play, and when it's "enjoyable" I don't even feel all that accomplished for wasting what could possibly be 10 minutes max of wasted time for myself and the other person. I liked the game for what it was before, and that experience of just playing with simple controls and no dumb, weird gimmicks like kicking the opponent but instead have gimmicks centered around what style you get was the more enjoyable experience of UBG, though to this day dealing with Hitmans and Sluggers are still a pain no doubt about that. Overall, when worse comes to worst, to me UBG is the one example of why Roblox and pvp just doesn't mesh well together, top that with whatever game mechanics the game itself follows and essentially this game is as bad as XV2 online pvp (entirely different kind of game but still)

I played ranked only to get a style slot without selling my kidney but i gave up since i kept running into the styles that beat my main + lag

I played rank only for the spin, you're more likely to get a style slot there. Also yes, hitbox is dogwater and can be quite annoying sometimes but we sometimes laugh it off because of confusion

my counter to passive players is just become passive as well. Eventually, the passive player loses patience then attacks

I quit ranked after that one passive bullet called me spammer when using hawk....

I used to play a game called boxing league, the hit box were awful it made UBG hit box look good

Personally i don't have anything to complain about ubg but i DO agree with the number of passive players that uses hitman or long guard. I actually recommend drowning to make ppl not be able to regen stamina if they are not hitting or gets hit for 10 or more second since losing health while not doing anything is just too much ngl.

I feel like new UBG combat systems is just flaw rn, drowning try to fix those issue but completely make the game unplayable. Wouldn't be better IF drowning makes those patch: 1. PD now have a cooldown, removed PD can only be done on the first dash of a sequence but the second second dash is more easier to punish or catch. 2. The buff m1s speed can only been applying if continuously attack once you begin to play passive those buff will gone and PD would be much harder to do plus easier to be catch, style that doesn't have a fast jabs would lose 5% m1s speed buff leaving them 5% speed buff but for style have fast jabs like hitman,long guard would completely lose 10% speed buff.

Ngl they should add ping based servers (like if you have 100-200 ping you will join a server with people that have the same ping region as you, and if your 90-0 you will join a server filled with people that also have 90-0 ping almost constantly)

add some over heating like in real steal the video game where if you spam punches without thought you will be punished by losing m1 speed and m2 speed

I agree on the hitman part bro, once you get matched up with a hitman and you have a ping above 100 your dead

I do agree about the passive thing. I've gained hatred towards long guard users, holy moly the fact that m1 is so quick and has large range is bs, i absolutely hate that style, and now freedom exists who has a mode that gives you the best dash in the game and speed boost is just basicly a game trying to catch a rock with your arms in a dark room.

Another problem is the slugger style as a whole, they nerf it, say they fix it, but it's a walking glitch that everyone exploits even on accident I was fighting a slugger user with one of my favourite styles, Counter and i was countering him pretty well up until he started doing something, he dashed into my range and charged his m2, i attacked to cancel his m2 the second i calculated that his s were gone in the middle of the dash, we were basically 1cm away from each other, i jab and my jab goes through him as he fully charges the m2 and hits me, i try again and each time he always gets s during the whole m2 charge and even after the m2 is launched he has s I main iron fist because i found out it's one of the best ways to check if someone is a fraud who is carried by their ping, device & fps or if they actually have what it takes to be their rank, even with my average 180-250 ping (sometimes 250-500 or completely spiking up to 1500), terrible fps, horrible phone (i can't buy a PC) and my lack of motivation even if i'm better and leave them at 1 hit i lose because the ping difference is too much The "outboxers" are mostly all just trash who crumble under pressure yet the new mechanics and updates gave them a better way to run away, i have met outboxers who were worthy of praise for actually initiating fights then only moving away to analyze my in-fighting So far this video covers all the reasons why i only sometimes enter emptier public servers to fight and chill in my private with friends, it's just more fun fighting actual equals who share your ping & device. Now i just wanna have fun with my friends since my goal of becoming a champion is gone however i do have one goal which might sound dumb but i'll say it anyway, i wanna be able to improve more, to either get a PC to actually improve more since i can no longer improve on mobile, i wanna actually fight someone equal to me before i get fully bored and retire from the game, i wanna fight someone in an actually fair match, and whether i win or lose i won't care as just like Joe Yabuki (the GOAT) i would've burnt brighter than anyone else and turned to white ashes. Sorry for being dramatic.

@@forgottenxz I also forgot to mention that in-fighters are hella rare now since even in-fighting styles are being used passively & to outbox, in-fighting in the game has become so unviable (is that the word for it?) that every offensive style (except slugger because it's a walking glitch & smash because most smash users are built different) has to be passive or else they lose, and this all happened because people refused to use their hands and instead use their legs in a game about throwing hands

About the ping supremacy thing, I live in South America and roblox does not have servers there, because of that your ping will be way higher than other places, In my case the minimum ping i can get is 130, it is still playable but you can clearly see the difference when fighting someone with low ping, their m1,m2 and dash just works better and faster, when you reach 200 ping the game becomes clearly unfair, all your moves get delayed and way slower than your opponent, it doesn´t even matter the style, it feels like your moves are all linked to ping, so the higher you get, the worse it is, and when you reach very high amounts like 1k, it feels like you can watch a whole video while waiting for your m1 to land

I used to main basic and I was a monster they nerfed it and then they made it slower and weaker like wtf its basic and the ptw styles are too op. They either made basic unuseable or made the big ptw styles too op. If you want a skill based game play right 2 fight its a amazing game with some flaws but the balancing is actually good.

Number 4. I have suffered this curse for months. Everyday I hop on this game I fight mobile players (my bretheren) and I can out skill them every time, might not win but I get a CHANCE against mobile players. The. One faithful hour I decide to play this game I run into a random dude with hitman who can perfect dodge shit that makes no sense. WHY IS IT ALWAYS HITMAN.

I was playing boxing league but i switched to this cuz its much less toxic I have barely seen any toxic players in this game, while in boxing league i play 3 matches whith 3 people and all of them are toxic and also there are levels in BL and the person whith higher level is just stronger whith no downsides cuz he has moves you dont have

Well if they add the hp losing for being passive the game would lose a good amount of players so I don’t think it gonna be added

the fact they nerfed dashing legit ruined everything, i was top 40 in ranked on the first week of release and now i cant even parry any move.

tried to play it, i am from south america, and it has 0 SA servers, its IMPOSSIBLE to play this game with 200+ ping spinking in 400, is just impossible i cant even see the hits

Funniest fact you forgot to mention : "They wasnt making game for passive play" also them (Adding Hawk with instant perfect dodge which is more abuseable cuz it dont requires brain cells to tap A and D more than Spacebar)

I started ranked a while ago and it is prob the worst ranked experience ive ever seen it bases you just off rank not by ko's,style etc so its possible for a 100 ko guy to get matched with a 1k ko hitman guy And my god i swear the game is just horribly optimised in general i live in Ireland and im always connected to a british server yet i swear my lag makes it look like im from asia And i know that i should have relatively decent ping because in any other game ive played that connect to me to a british server i only get about 25-35 ping on avg

i remeber when i get m1 spamed with hitman bc i had bad ping, but i perfect dodge every m1 i swear💀💀💀

The ping issue needs to be fixed, almost any mobile player can agree that with high ping, the game is really difficult to fight someone with decent amount of ping. I don’t want to pay a $1000 for a pc to just be better at a kids game. Hope they slowly fix ping over time. A good example would be AOPG. Almost unplayable for mobile players at first before the owner looked into it. After that no lag existed for a mobile player like me. They need to take time out of their day and focus on quality of life changes and fixes instead of updating the game for new styles and new mechanics, because that will make the ping issue worse over time.

I 100% agree with on that because evrrytime I join a server I'm getting like over 100 ping everytime I get into a fight. And it's making me slowly lose motivation for the game. If they fix this which I highly doubt they will I will return to this game

the thing is, you can train really hard as a kimura and beat a hitman. But as soon as they have they same amount of skill and they have a better style, you will lose 99% of the time

In fact, all styles are relatively equal in front of each other if you look at the characteristics, but when it comes to the fight itself, then the problems begin, take the same M1 spam from Hitman followed by running around, and Hawk with its terrible animation and just insane damage from Counter. The most painful and biggest problem of styles is that they are all broken in some one area, which is why some styles can't even win others in theory, I'll give a happy strange example, but Turtle dominates Hawk if he plays well, because Turtle's block is incredibly strong, and Hawk's M1 damage the lowest in the game.

The point is that hitman is a boring style that doesn't offer much in itself, it only has good damage and a range that you wouldn't even believe (because they hit you out of nowhere and worse with hitbox and this performance of the dasheos) Furthermore, combine it with the passive players and you have the most annoying user and the most ball-touching possible that you will find in the game.

Bro perfect ping is the most unfair thing on this game, me as an brazillian player i'm close to stop playing bcs someone from another region with perfect ping can destroy me in seconds, even if i have low graphics and perfomace mode on. A guy that literally started today could almost make an 3-1 just using ippo, high ping with no brazillian server + trash hitbox= almost unplayeable

I am a player with an average 70-90 ping and I gotta say I have to literally predict 90% of the punches coming at me.

Disclaimer: this is (maybe) a rant Just fought a guy named "mike tyson" something something in his name, and me using long guard. Of course bro was using ippo, which was fine. Then when we engaged bro was being passive in the first half of our fight. I thought "Wow this guy's being passive." Holding that block which kinda helps in perfect dodging is what he did, never even once started a clash, and me always being the one to start the bout. Had to use feint to even hit him. Then on second half of our fight he finally started a clash, of course I was off-guard (no pun intended) by that and ended up losing. And when we had a rematch I kinda tried using his passive strat calling it the "Waitress Mike Tyson" at that point in time. And wouldn't you know it, I actually got the upperhand and 1-0 that guy. Unfortunately I got disconnected cuz it was raining. So to conclude, like everyone is saying, ubg rewards passive play with no risks and not aggresive play which I think is more fun. When you encounter a passive, just leave, maybe try to win if you're good enough. Another thing I wanna say is that there is no "passive style", only "outboxer styles". Look at Thomas Hearns, an outboxer, in his fight with Sugar Ray, he was actively throwing jabs st Ray. And what about Ray? He was dodging cuz Thomas has more reach, trying to see an opening, which is truly more harder than reacting to the outline when punching.

Damn I’ve been watching for a while and I never knew the community was like this. It doesn’t surprise me as a casual who’s seen games like this get very toxic communities but hopefully it can change man. Just gotta show these mfs who’s boss. Good video btw.

Im the guy that reacts so fast that it seems like i predicted my opponent and so when the sluggers (this is for every style but its an example) throw an m2 and i see it coming i stop blocking and press the spacebar, i kid you not they still hit even if i pressed it 1 second before 😭 lag

Get into a ring move to the right side without stopping and while enemy is attacking ya see how horrible the hit boxes are

as someone who plays aggressive hitman i'd say he got a point

I dont haved that rlly strange experience as you, always its was not passive guyz, one thing its was brainded players on smash (now) and ghost (in past) and my ping 60-90 and i became world champion by high cost of nerves. And yeah, that me, slugger champiom. 🤙 Me too man, im quit it 3 weeks ago.

In my opinion, a good ping starts from 70 and below, I play in this range myself, but there are times when I can't hit a terribly buggy Slugger with my 50-70 ping, at such moments I don't even know what to do. :/

i completely agree, but how would the health depletion if your passive work? Because if say they dont hit you for 7 seconds, would YOU also not of hit them for 7 seconds also? So would both of your health deplete? Also yeah hitboxes suck ass, ping advantage is disgustingly crazy, and they need a fucking TIMER NOW

Fax pyro, the health depletion would be really like small, and very slow, the damage of 1 m1 every few seconds, if its like no combat and u were the last one to land a hit, you would be marked, and if you dont strike after 15 secondish you start losing health

No because i will dogde the opposite direction of when they hitting me and i dont get a perfect dodge its like a percentage chance

Ok ngl, who ever uses Hitman like that annoys, as a hitman user, you literally have good speed, great strength and defense, like what need do you have that you just stay in the corner and wait

Here’s the problem is that even despite the passive players LITERALLY when you get to a point in the game where your good enough to dodge within a 5 second frame of expecting a punch your just standing there stalling the fight out waiting for the first punch from your opponent and it’s so dumb. The fact your STARING at them for a whole 6’s is stupid, don’t even get me started on Hawk mains who you can sit there for 8’d and still somehow PD the punch despite the fact YOU LITERALLY WAITED A WHOLE EIGHT SECONDS DOING NOTHING

Ranked iskinda same as gambling with ur emotions if u win u can win u be happy,if u lsot u actually sad but ur right.

So far i haven't really encountered toxic player in rank yet tbf though i just hit 11k elo though my major problem is unbalanced matchmaking and y'all know the average hitman user +runners now don't get me wrong i know passive players but avoiding confrontation is just annoying i dont want to quit though i love ubg way too much
