I don't understand how to read the vertical break graph and the Vertical approach angle graph. I'm very confused

Can anyone explain the physics of why a splitter drops?

The further the fingers are split apart, usually allows more drop than rise. This is due to the fingers spread apart creating less spin efficiency as your fingers are not so strong when put into extreme ranges like the split . Split spin rates avg 13-1500 comparing to the 4 seam with avg 2300
