Yeah the machine that you’re describing is called an MV 8800 by Roland it has a VGA screen plus a mouse controller that you can plug into the back of the Roland MP 8800 so it’s already been done just not with Mpc

I got mine yesterday, it's a wonderful well built board!!

Do this with your MPCX. Use it in stand alone, and use the Ableton Live link to sync it with the 61 keys, then bouce your 61-key audio down to the MPCX 8 track and 8 outputs. You can feed those outputs to a mixer to run in sync with your computer/61 key. It might add a lot of air to all your tracks. I am about to do that. In fact, after my songs are done, I will switch to the PMCX controller mode, and then I will use the 61-key added with a Tascam Model 24 interface for stand alone, 32-in/32-out, so my computer feeding the 8 outs on the MPCX go right into the Tascam that can record direclty into the 61-key, reversing the units after the song is done and for mastering. In other words, create the song on the 61-key controller mode and then switch it to an 8 track recorder to sync with the MPCX controller mode for mix down. I can even record those stems on the Tascam itself.

Did the MPK261 WORK WELL with the MPC X

I've bought the key 61 and never used an mpc. I had a Yamaha MOXF88 and I don't like the Keybed. Other than that its tight! agree on the screen. touch screen is crazy on a synth. ive got it to my left and its....yes. i agree, need it on my desk. I got the Rockit 8's as well :)

I was thinking the same thing about all that space on the right side I was thinking they could have use that space to give it more space for bigger sized pads like the mpc one pad size along with the screen size

Also put a turn table pre amp & sd card slot just like the mpc x & mpc live

Mv 8800 and mv8000 has vga and mouse support , and they still monster samplers i have both and they still kickin

I have some for you to try bro try putting a 2 x 4 with a slent under the keyboard so you don’t get the glare from your other two monitors on it. It seems to work for me very well. I took that and took a little board to make it even a roughed up the board and put Velcro on it and put Velcro on the back of my MPC 61 key, and it stops the glare plus the screen is looking at you more better bro.

I said the same thing you did I actually wish they may it look more like the mpk261 with the slider and knobs..and I agree akai. Needed a daw . I do wish it had midi controller capabilities like the mpk

I have the Live 2, Key61 and the MPC X. And I like them in this order Key61, Live2, and then the X. I like having a full keyboard so thats why i prefer the key61. Also, I love the Live because it is portable, has a battery and speaker inside. The X is so big in bulky. The reason I like the X compared to the other models is for the 16 qlink knobs. Other than that, I prefer the other devices but they all essentially can do the same thing. I put 500 gb ssd drives in each of them for $30/piece from bestbuy.

I agree windowing the screen like a plugin would be dope it could be done with the ren, also give us some graphics or a screen saver instead of that ugly searching for software screen in plugin mode

Bigger screen its a must but 73 or 76 keys also will be good

I heard you're able to buy a blu tooth wireless mouse or keyboard and connect to the device and use the shift button etc. But I haven't personally done it yet. I would love to do what you said though, to project a monitor with out a computer. Theres always a way though to anything .

You have to show the vocal recording process, and what mic's to use.

Add a big flip screen, fully weighted keys, a bigger toggle knob next to the screen, 2TB hard drive (M.2), upgrade built-in sound card equivalent to the Apollo by UA, add speakers like the MPC live II, Make this unit compatible with all the other plug-in makers of VSTs and finally make it USB compatible for Mouse and External keyboard. Price no more than $3500 base 61 key model.

DL Peace literally has a video In which he was in front of an MPK and he described and predicted Akai making this exact type of keyboard Mpc. It’s crazy they actually made the Mpc key 61

The way I look at why they did not worry about the bigger screen is because most people who buy the keyboard will not have the drum machine I personally do not like drum machines I just do not care for figuring out how to get to other pages so I would get the keyboard instead of the drum machine because it is a more familiar surrounding instead of trying to learn a whole system

also tell them to add Hybrid 3 synth to MPC Force range with the analog synth vacuum pro and lume

Yeah, all the things you’ve suggested have been come to pass. So some new predictions for the upcoming 8 years from now. 🎉 This is a 61 keys (66). Personally I think there will be a 88 keys. And that one will have the big screen and all the pro bells and whistles.

Been making any beats on the Beat Thang lately. Just kidding with you, but it's a shame how they messed up the system on that thing, because they actually had something unique in my opinion, from when I used to have the Street Kangz SB-246 drum machine from Zoom. I made some really nice stuff on that little thing. That's why I liked it was because they had some really unique drum sounds that no one else had. Too bad they didn't focus more on the system and marketing it right. Take care...SBN NATAN
