For the very first time, I cant agree with you on the Game. I tried the Game and I genuinely dislike it. It has good aspects to it and it certainly isnt as bad as reviewers say. The poor writing critique is true to a point. The open world one isnt. Its okayish. The protagonist is really annoying though, to be fair. I hate it how she talks. Is the game terrible? No. Is the game bad? Yes. Is it bad considering the price? Absolutely yes. Personally, my opinion. Nothing here is objective. :) ----------------- Now the controller, Is the New controller far too overpriced for what it is? Absolutely. It was a sponsor so I get it you cant talk bad about it. :) Other than that, I liked your review. :D One personal note though.. The fact that its a female protagonist really hasnt anything to do with it like you mention at around 9:10.. I loved Aloy, I always pick female characters in every game.

Thank you for this honest review! You said it better than myself! It's not perfect but highly addicted. I'm level 70 with 3 of the elements. I didn't even get the last element yet. I'm be overpowered for the final boss lol Loving it. I give it 8-8.5/10.

I appreciate your review of this game. I played it myself for only an hour so far, but I like everything about it. Then I saw a bunch of negative reviews from people that seemed to be whining about nothing. So in my opinion, your review of the game is the only one that people need.

You know that negative reception doesn't equal review bombing, right?

I think reviews also reflect the reviewer. People who watch your channel expect to see green grass games and game play somewhat reminiscent of Oblivion. That's totally fine because we enjoy that as well. However, some reviewers seem to compare game-to-game features missing the point - we play the games we think we will enjoy, not necessarily the "popular" games. I'm sure we've all played games that we played because we wanted to relax into a game (Ircha did a video about this). Sometimes we like to play games that immerse us into another world. Sometimes we want combat. What reviewers seem to commonly miss is to tell us if certain types of people will like the game if it fills our void. Forspoken has looked fascinating from the moment it was shone. The lead character is one that I cannot so much relate to or empathize with, but I can want to sympathize with. I want to play that character. I will play that character in that world. Traversal is well planned on such a huge map. I'm glad we have you to actually play the game before reviewing it rather than just put in an hour and "phone home" a review. Thanks!

I decided to pick this game up since it was on sale and reading all the negative reviews I had no idea what to expect but after playing for a few hours I am absolutely hooked and I can't understand the hatred for this game I think it's great

I agree soooo much with basically everything you said about this game. It has been so fun to play! It just bothers me that it wasn't more well received, the extent that some people have trashed the game is really mind blowing to me. It's not perfect, of course but it's a very good game and a new intellectual property in an age of remakes and remasters. I really hope we get a forspoken 2 or at least a spiritual successor with the same combat and traversal.

A lot of the reviews just say so little. I feel like I finally got a good picture of what a large portion of the game is like. It is impressive how fast the movement can be with the graphical effects and everything.

This game looks great And I love that you are so open minded and stand for your own opinion This is what makes discussing games so fun to not feel like you have to like or dislike something because most people likes or dislikes something but instead have your own opinion so we can discuss and look at things from different views Thank you for a Great video Ircha! 😸

Story: Story is not ground breaking, but devs pretty much told it will be fairy tale with modern setting. We have exactly this, no more, no less. I liked it even if I really believe if the story is the main motivation to buy the game, maybe wait for a sale, this price is too high if you are only into this element. Fray: Actually I really love her. In most fantasy settings and especially fairy tales, the authors take someone from the lowest class of society and let them grow to something more. I loved how anti she was at most of the time, because she don't trust people and they don't support her anyway, so she see no reason to support them too. It was true to the character and her background. Gameplay: This is the hero. The world is not as cool as in other games, but it is made entirely around gameplay systems and both combined just nail it. I have 60+ hours in hard with increased damage recieved and I just can't stop playing. THey left a lot of the CPU and GPU power for particles and effects making already extremely satisfying battle system even better. I just l can't enjoy this part of the game more. There are so many advanced systems in the game from at least 6 ways to change between magics to animation cancel, perfect parry, freedom of combinations. There are few minuses as the fire spear that in my opinion is super hard to be used in long combos, but overall after the story and unlock of all powers, this game is ultra addictive, I want to delete it because I can't stop playing. What it needs: I really hope in the expansion they will add more bosses predicted for "endgame" character. There are only 3 bosses (I think) that are made to be specifically killed after Fray have all the powers in the game and even if they are quite hard, they were not as saticfying as I would like to see. As I would love to see more different enemies, in end game when they combine different archetypes is groups the gameplay is still saticfying, but I would really love to see more different archetypes, especially for ground enemies as the deers. Open world: Now this is a big shot and I understand why they did it on developement side. I really hope at some point (maybe in the expansion) we may see time of day. First because FF XV was one of the very few games where it looked like there is an idea of having it. Secondly, I really want to see this world at night :D (I understand the technicle reasons, why that may never happen).

I'm really glad to hear an honest opinion from someone who doesn't just follow the trends of hate. The game isn't perfect but I've beaten it and am going for the Platinum. Even after 30 hours I still cannot put it down once I start. Great video and beautiful accent, take care.

I actually really enjoyed this game I don't know why people are dragging it down so badly some people were mad because of them talking too much but they didn't realize there is a setting to make them talk less to not even at all me I give it an eight out of 10 and I'm hoping for a DLC or sequel

Hi Ircha, just wanna say thank you for the honest opinion about the game and for providing both the positives and negatives that I'm noticing a lot of people are not doing, making it very one-sided with their critique. I had my eye on this for a while and while the reception has sort of pushed me off, I wanted to see if there was any hope of someone finding some good in it. Thank you for making this video I must say I personally am really enjoying the game I am probably 15 hrs in and really enjoying doing a lot of the side quests and leveling my character up. Good 4 u liking it . But 4 me na its was shit i played the demo and though na get of my ssd. And from what i played she's ok esh but the game wasn't 4 me there were early warning signs like i got with anthem and a few other games that i didn't Listen 2 what i was feeling i lost the money 4 those games . So I'm not gonna spend 65 pounds on a game i won't get refunded by sony and the 1080/720p is not what i payed 500 pounds to play next gen games on, only to get ps3/xbox360 Resolution.

Thank you for the review. I am still on the fence about picking it up, but that's more to do with my current backlog than the game itself. Whenever I saw footage of this game I was surprised by all the negativity. One of my most nostalgic eras and types of games are the 3rd person setpiece platformers like Prince of Persia 08, the second Tomb Raider trilogy and Infamous. While this is definitely different with its larger open world, it looks to be just as fun to just move around and climb and explore in, which is something I haven't gotten out of a new game in a while.

The negative reviews actually got me interested in the game. I often like games that are controversial, like Forspoken. It's good to hear that you like the game, because our tastes are very similiar. That's why I think I'll like the game as well.

We have really different tastes in games but I might have to check this game out eventually. It does look pretty awesome.

Main reason I subscribe to your channel is that we have the same taste in games. So I will definitely be giving this a try on PS5 thanks.

The world looks gorgeous and I love games that are all about exploring and have lots of "chores". I also really like unconventional characters with a lot of development during the story even if they become unlikeable. And well...cats. I think I will totally get this game at some point.

I finished Forspoken a few days ago and also really loved it, the combat, music, parkour and world is fantastic! I wasn't too crazy about the story and the graphics, I did enjoy Frey and Cuff, I just wanted the story to be more than it was, because the concept is amazing. I enjoyed the game...so glad I didn't listen to the KZread reviews...The combat and magic are amazing...and the story was ok with a few twists. I've been playing this game non stop since I got it.

I've been playing this game as well. The only reviews I've seen were all based on the demo, not the full game. A LOT of negative reviews were from the demo, even after full game release. Also, one "complaint in a negative review" stated leveling spells was long and tedious. And you mentioned maxing out spells. There is NO maxing or leveling spells! The enhancements are kind of a sub quest that is nowhere near grindy and isn't even a requirement to get access to all spells.

Great review. It's a game I want to check out one day, just not a priority for me right now since it's not 100% my thing. People are silly and the review bombing is unfortunate. Glad to see honest reviews like this!

Thank you for giving an accurate critique of this game. I've watched maybe 2 reviews of it before jumping in for myself & realizing that the review bombers are on some really good cocaine. I finished the main quest a couple days ago and was very satisfied with what I paid for. Not a perfect game in the least but a good one nonetheless. I also gave it a 7/10. For my own PC & PS5 owning friends I've been debunking all the negativity. I even have a few friends that were saying they'll just wait to see what I have to say about it rather than listening to all the other reviewers out there. Once again, thanks for the accurate view of the game and keep up the good work!

This is caused by a blurring of the lines between journalist and influencer. Journalists now feel perfectly at peace with accepting un-taxed expensive freebies, trips in executive jets, exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes access (with all the associated clout and prestige) in exchange for positive articles and reviews, or negative against the competition. Lower-tier outlets and individuals can only aspire to being the lapdog of a trillion-dollar corporation. They jump on the bandwagon started by others and are sometimes rewarded with a year's service subscription, the odd review code or maybe a free variant controller.

I am basing my comment on what I've seen on YT Let's Plays, as these often help me determine which games I will purchase. I typically side with you on most games, but sadly not this one. The main character is insufferable due to poor writing. While the combat is fun, the rest is meh at best. And from what I've watched, it is definitely not worth full price. I don't think it's a terrible game, but it certainly isn't what I consider a good one. Average I guess. Again, just my opinion. But hey, anyone who enjoys the game, I am super happy for you! ON a side note, after watching one of you previous videos where you talk about Switch handheld grips, I purchased some and wow, I absolutely love them!

I finished this game and it was amazing!! And how she grows as a character is great. Sure she is very negative at the beginning but there was alot of growth with that character.

I downloaded the demo and loved this haven't played the full game yet. Toomany upcom8ng games this year. A little one called Final Fsn5asy 16. So much to look forward top. Been playing FF since the first one on NES, so only so much time

Hell yes. I love the game. And especially now after patches. Stable 40fps quality mode, higher resolution and even cats run around with you now! But I already liked it even on Release

It, like all games, has its faults but I couldn't stop playing it for hours. For the folk saying it's an open, empty world, what do you expect? If ppl go outside they turn into zombies and die. It's meant to be this way. The world is on deaths door

@T. Valentine the gameplay isn't bad tho. That's the 1 consensus throughout the whole thing. The gameplay is great. Whether or not you like the story is a different thing. And if you're a ff fan, as I am, them those ppl cannot talk, especially the later games because the majority of the time you're in the middle of nowhere fighting the same monsters that been in ff since the 1st ff. Same for Zelda fans, which I'm also a huge fan of, because link main companion is Epona or w/e version of horse or animal he uses to get around(especially b4 the last few). And technically the world isn't empty. Everytime I walked outside I found a hoard of ppl. They happened to be mutated but still😂😂😂. Cipal is a different story. Alot more could've been done there but what do you want from a game literally shrouded in a fog of a death? Be realistic

I totally agree with you, for me it's a sold 8/10 and a great game which got review bombed, I paid a full 70$ and I don't regret it one bit, I spent around 25 hours and beat the game, world building, music and combat are great, the only issue that the dev need to address is the world's lighting.

A couple worth checking out are Touhou Genso Wanderer Reloaded on Playstation and Switch, Omega Labyrinth on Switch and Playstation, and Sorcery Saga: Curse of the Great Curry God (made by Idea Factory/Compile Heart) on Steam. Also, you mentioned Blue Protocol coming to PC, but did you also know that it is coming to PS5 as well? Also, it is a MMO, I'm not sure if you knew that, and hopefully you will still try it (not sure if you are into MMO's). Alnyway I look forward to your future videos!

I never understand at all what all the hate was with this game. Sure there is some cringey dialogue. The traversal and combat was outstanding. I personally love the soundtrack and music. Everyone talked about how empty the world was but i feel like that goes with the whole story. There is so much stuff to find and even parts of the map that arent shown on the maps to find. I also seen people say the game was short but it took me 70 hours to platinum. You have gave the best review of the game i have seen. Most people listened to IGN and started spitting out the same lame boring narratives they did

I NEVER skip cutscenes in games. ..until this one. The gameplay is fine, not great. I enjoy clearing map icons (Assassin's Creed completionist mentality). I've played 38.4hrs so far and have not completed the main quest. I keep going off on map clearing quests. I think I'm on chapter 11. I will complete the game, but I absolutely hate the story & characters.
