I think I have probably read every book he has written, seen probably almost every public video he's been in. Simon Sinek's "Start With Why" sits on my office desk as a reminder and when i take breaks, I flip through and re-read portions of it. He is truly someone I would consider a mentor or mine. Thank you for this!

Jenni Whipple I think the way he delivers the message is what hits home, not the content itself. You could have someone less passionate deliver the same message and it wouldn’t be the same.

At about 23:00 he is talking about happiness. That is almost my entire message on personal growth. My book I just wrote is all about that, how happiness is temporary and fulfillment is our true desire. I am truly a big fan of Simon Sinek.

I love the first 3 rules! I really think that people think about mentor ships a little weird, and they can't be forced unless you want it to be unauthentic. That really stinks because mentors are so important, especially if you're trying to get to the top. Thankfully, you're spreading what Simon Sinek has to say about the topic. Thank you Evan!

Absolutely tried interpreting 'Nervousness' into 'Excitment'. It not only makes you feel more confident and positive but also saying that 'I'm excited' rather than 'I'm a tad nervous' will reprogramme your mind in believing what your mind just said. It's simply the power of the spoken words. And one question would you rather love to be excited bout something that most people are just too nervous for? BTW great work done @Evan. Keep it up. I grew up playing tennis and i soon realized that i loved to compete when i was in front of spectators. I believe this is what Simon is speaking of...it is not a bad nervousness, it is a positive excitement that drives someone to perform (speak/entertain).

Thank you Evan! Of particular interest to me was number 2, and developing mentorships. I'd never really thought about what I could uniquely offer a mentor, which is of course the difference between someone just being your teacher, and a real mentorship relationship which should end with you both being friends, because you've helped them as much as they've helped you.

Thanks Evan. Love your vids. My experience with nervous vs excitement ... I am an equestrian (fancy for; I run after horses and feed them carrots 😉). Well, I'm a nervous rider. The other day, got onto my horse for the first time in ages and went "I'm nervous" at that moment I heard Simon's voice in my head ... "NOOOO, EXCITED" ... Greatest ride ever 🐴 #Simonsays I listened

As i watched this video, and the segment about nervousness vs excitement played, i realized, when i talk to new prospects im not nervous but actually excited about helping them, i may pace as i talk [i dont like sitting and talking on a fone normally] but its not nervousness, it is excitement for what is about to transpire! #BTA28 #STANDOUT

If No 10 did not hit you hard, you should take it as the truest lesson of human compassion you should learn in your lifetime. I can understand doing your hardest for your best, and believe me, too many of us do, even if they don't necessarily do it, but being able to set that aside especially when it needs to be for something much more, and if you do or don't, that speaks a lot about who you really are.

Evan, it totally works..i rephrase everything bad n good that happens to me n this really change how i approach things..why good n bad i rephrase them??because every bad things that happens, im in panic mode, i tend to make stupid decision..same goes to good things that happens, im in overwhelmed mode, i tend to make stupid decisions..so i tell myself to be calm at making decision..

Learn how to communicate the why. I’ve got problems since my grammar and spelling isn’t great and you have to take a couple of spins to understand me. Yet from this lesson I’ll keep to remind myself to continue to try

I think turning nervousness into excitement is exactly like tricking a little boy 😂 yo, you're tricking your mind 😏😏😏 honestly i tried it and it's really worked for me to be more confortable in stress situations and i gave everything i have to present my work for exemple or to talk in public😘

Be consistant. Consistancy is the key. Lot of people can be excited about starting new things, but few can keep on doing things on a regular basis until they get the result they want.
