The 130 toll road here in Texas stretches from Seguin on the south side at I-10, and goes north to Georgetown at I-35. This is the toll road that goes past the Circuit of the Americas! The southern half of this toll road has a speed limit of 85 mph while the northern half has a speed limit of 80 mph. Those speed limits are merely suggestions though! On numerous times I’ve had the cruise control set to 95 mph and was passed!

My dad and I ran this race for years. We won the 135 class in 2007 and the 140 mph class in 2012 with a 1986 Pontiac Grand Prix 2+2. Our total error on 118 miles on the 2012 run was 3 feet by compensating for tire growth. Great road and a super fun time.

I retired from driving in October having met my goal of a podium in every class 125 and lower, sadly never got to run the 85 class before it was dropped. As someone who grew up racing the roads of the Texas Hill Country, I can’t imagine needing a map or course notes, but then again I could only reach a maximum speed of about 120 mph, but mostly drove about 85-90 mph because I wasn’t driving modern sports cars. What’s needed more than anything else is someone warning you of the wildlife in the road… deer, turkey, hogs, and more. I definitely need to look into this. It would be nice to do it again without needing to worry about speeding tickets. 😂 Thanks for sharing your story.

That lending scheme in the advertisement is BS, that pre-computed interest used to be known as rule of 78. So say you borrow $10,000, and then the next day you pay $5,000, when your first payment date comes, you still owe the same amount, you are still paying on the interest that was pre-computed, so the bottom line is, there is no benefit to early payment whatsoever., However, there is benefit too early payoff, so at that point the interest stops. it is a very crooked way to lend, almost all places like one main financial or mariner use it so not saying this particular place is so bad, just that warning about what they act is such a great thing is anything but.

Texas is a sh*t show for speed. The state highway speed limit is 75. Everyone drives 90+ is actually terrifying.

The 130 toll road from Seguin to just north of Georgetown has a speed limit of 85 for the southern half, and 80 for the northern half. I’ve set the cruise control for 95 mph and have gotten passed on several occasions.

Call me crazy, but it doesn’t sound like fun at all… trying to hit some “perfect” time… where one second off gets you 2nd place… it isn’t a “race” at that point, or even a fun drive.

Geezzz, got away with one here. Pretty carless conduct if ya askin me. Hopefully they learned a lesson so they don't kill anyone with their silly antics. I don't think i'd be so open to share my jackass behavior on VinWiki. Jus sayin.

Cool video. You lost me at "BMW mechanically sound". Owned a few , they are rolling nightmares. Never again. I remember a guy telling us "BMW is the worst car ever made" ? Let's get cooking.

Disagree, I have a 328i and it’s been mechanical sound. Now electronics are something else.
