Hey Adam love the content I’m about six weeks in with my first system. I love it gives me so much confidence. Your channel has helped so much. Random question mate . I took advantage of Black Friday and bought some systems however they are a bit darker then what I was looking for. Can I lighten them ?

Ah cheers mate appreciate the kind words. Yes you can. If you’re U.K. based, Head and Shoulders will naturally strip some of the colour from the system, but you need to make sure you stop using it once you’ve reached the desired colour. As a newbie I wouldn’t encourage you to dye the hair. The hair will tend to naturally go lighter over time anyway, if you didn’t want to go the head and shoulders route

I’ll give it a try on retired system one day as I’m too scared to do it to my current one. Never dyed a system before and have read it can go catastrophically wrong if you don’t do it right! Have you considered using a colour depositing shampoo in the meantime? m.lavividhair.com/hair-restoration_40508

Great video mate, I’ve subscribed to the channel. I’ve worn a system for about 5 years - I now shampoo less (once a week) than when I first started (2/3 a week) - after watching this, I’ll see if I can extend the shampooing to fortnightly. I also use Joico - it’s great. I use the moisture balm occasionally and it’s really good. Do you still swill your hair in the shower regularly even if ur not shampooing? Or do you use a spray water / conditioner instead? I’m also going to give the pure argan oil a go. What leave in conditioner do you use? I’ve recently (a few days ago) got Redken One United and it’s seems good so far - I’ve tried most products so welcome any suggestions. Thank you!

Two weeks? I can't go longer than four days without washing my bio hair without it being greasy and unbecoming. I imagine regardless of what base you use and how thin it is, oils from your scalp will still somehow make their way to the hair the same with biohair, right? Or is that wrong?

Your hair can get greasy if you wear a lace but it can’t get through poly. I literally just put pure Argan oil and leave in conditioner each day and then at night I wear a durag and sleep on a silk pillow. I guarantee you that you’re hair will be less unbecoming if you sleep in a durag

I don’t recommend washing your system everyday because it drys the hair out. You could always get 1522 tape which is a daily tape and just remove the system each night before bed
