Got to give VinWiki respect for hearing a differing opinion, but that guy was awful!

Today is better. I've said it before, Ed. We don't have to have a video every day. We want QUALITY. If that means only 2 or 3x a week, so be it. Trash and click bait are 2 very good ways to lose your viewers.

Vinwiki never fails to give me a chuckle by bringing on great storytellers like this guy! Great work Vinwiki!

The John DeLorean story is even more serious than people may want to admit. It's not just about an "underdog" taking on the big three. It's about the person that kept one of the big three in business and then decided to continue on his own... which then leads to the big three (fearing for their profits) went on to quickly destroy him... and not only to prevent him from ever making cars again, but also from keeping the other engineers under their umbrella from getting the any ideas.

Bob is an amazing storyteller, and and an amazing person (and he's super talented at sourcing nice cars). Thank you for featuring him!

Just like Ed have his Lambo for free , Bob got his DeLorean for free...

I always love Bob's stories, even though he's made a hell of a business for himself, and some youtubers have shot him into a lot more stardom than he probably ever thought possible, he's one of the most real and down to earth people that we see regularly on the internet. I love the fact that when everyone else is bashing the DeLorean for "what" it was in comparison with it's big company rivals, that Bob loves the story and the hard work that went into it even being a car. That is the mark of a true car lover.

Bob's got the best stories. My dad was a Delorean dealer mechanic when I was a toddler. I've ridden in them, but I barely remember it

I’m genuinely happy for this dude and I’ve never met him! Glad to see he got an awesome car. He reminds me of people I want to be friends with. Just a nice cool person into cars and make their dream happen.

They made 3 gold plated Deloreans, 2 with tan interior, one with black. One of the tan interior cars was the only gold plated Delorean with a manual transmission. Those are the rarest Deloreans as they are literally all 1 of a kind from the factory and he certainly didn't get one for free.

So happy for you the DeLorean is one of my favorite cars

Bob is an amazing storyteller! Also, Bob talking about Deloreans and Australia reminded me of the fact that there's a tightknit Delorean club in Australia, who meet up once or twice a year.

Following up the awful NFT guy with the beloved EuroAsian Bob was a smart move lol

Goddamn the delorean will always be the one that got away. I almost bought one sophomore year of college in 2016 for 22K but I couldn't make the money work. Then the prices exploded lol

Fun factoid... the early models had full hoods, the later ones had a little gas door. John Delorean cut his finger closing the hood one day and simply made a mini hood for the fuel. Also, I can picture the wizard working on this car, epic visual image. Thanks for the story.

It’s actually opposite of that. Early cars had gas flap. Too much production headache and went to solid hood later.

Youre completely opposite. Up to Vin 3200 all had the gas flap grooved hood. Past that were grooved , then latter flat. Production costs, very hard to make, ect made the gas flap hoods stop in production. If you have the small rubber trim on the hood edges, you won't get cut.

I totally get Bob's point about how he would never pay the market price for a Delorean, but he also doesn't want to sell his. I happen to have a tiny gold coin. I really like owning a gold coin. I know that I could sell that coin for about $190, and while I could never justify spending $190 to buy one, I also would rather keep it that have $190.

It's not just any coin, it's your coin. Replacement value and sentimental value are totally different things and you'll never find another one, especially at that price.

I think the rarest DeLoreans are the gold-plated ones

I live in West Virginia and it's really cold In December

We were trying to buy the West Virginia car from Ronda but it was sold before we could get to it. The car was located in Charleston. My sister actually sat in this car.

I knew of the DeLorean before the movie too as "that's cool I'm 6" and years pass I'm like 17 and I am buddies with a guy trying to shake out a early career (and ended up quite successful at it) as a "car guy" ... One day, ice all over the road in his RWD V6 Ranger at like 19 years old doing stupid shit ... he says, I gotta drop by my Grandma's house (Grand dad died sometime in the 90's) want to see my grandpa's DeLorean? you can drive it... OMFG !?!?!?!? "sure" in a really cool voice. Automatic, DAMN! but still a cherished moment, and yes I hit 88 MPH on I65 outside Nashville

I remember visiting the Rolls Royce / DeLorean dealership in Midland Tx and seeing a brand new DeLorean in person as a kid. It looked amazing! I decided I wanted one someday. But then decided I preferred Porsches!

The math on getting two cars that match your two - from the SAME guy is like falling overboard after your boat hits an iceberg, getting hit by lighting before you hit the water and get eaten by a shark that saw you falling. Do that again and I'll send you a Sixpack of your favorite beverage. 👍 😃

I always liked them, but when they were affordable, I didn't want one simply because the back to the future jokes and references would get old too fast for me and I'd end up hating it.

I met a guy who had Doc’s Delorean and Marty’s Toyota Pickup with his hover board and the yellow smiley face light covers. Wonder if he’s still got them.

Inviting Bob to talk cars ALMOST makes up for all the times Tyler has called him urination Bob.

I've always wanted a DeLorean, and my second favorite sports car I've wanted is the Lotus Esprit, I doubt it's that rare of a combination.

Cybertruck is the next Delorian.

Its a No brainer because you have Trust on your side! Plus its a bit of work to get cars ready for export here and you have a workshop, car transport etc
