As we come to the end of our final school year as the UpLift Partnership, we wanted to gather with youth and partners to share our learnings and celebrate our many successes. Our aim was two-fold - to build on the momentum built over the last six years and to re-energize the HPS network across the province as it continues to grow in support of healthy school communities.
The UpLifting Health Promoting Schools Summit took place from May 8-9, 2024, at Acadia University in Wolfville. Over 200 people participated in person and online across the Nova Scotia Health and Education systems, community groups, and schools from the Annapolis Valley and South Shore Regional Centres for Education. More than 50 elementary, junior high and high school students attended and shared the stories of their UpLift/HPS projects.
