That price is beefy for high mileage and the damage.

Agreed. Owned this generation. 2008 it was reliable but I hated it so much I had to sell it. The interior is gross and lifeless and the speakers sound like tin cans. Also the ac went out and the car was worth 2500 at the time so I got rid of it

I bought a loaded 2009 last winter, for 4500, with very little issues. I love it for my work commute in San Diego. Especially for the high gas prices here
I paid 3600 for 110k miles last month and same price for 2008 civic coupe with 90k miles
My Cruze failed at 140,000 km with a failed transmission. Completely broken even after repairs. Had a missfire in the middle of the road and had to dump it to the scrapyard. Compared to my previous car (Chevy Cruze), this one looks more reliable and solidly built.
These cars last a while my dad had 2010 ex and would drive from riverside ca to los angels ca everyday for years it had over 300,000 when he sold it. And never had a problems the only reason he sold it was because he got another car. Honda makes very reliable cars that’s why I own a Honda myself.

R18 is a SOHC and does not have a timing belt. Has a chain. I have a manual 2010 model. Just did my 200k mile oil service and still feels like a new car. One thing about these cars is you should always check the clearance on the engine mount (Passenger side). They collapse and then folks think its the CVs that's gone out as it vibrates like hell.

Someone is selling theirs for about 5,200, and it has about 125,000 miles on it. Seems like it was dented on the right door and fixed but slightly noticeable. Is this a fair price
I have the 2008 model of this car. I must be unlucky as I've had tons of problems with mine. Transmission leak, heater fan died, sway bar went bad, engine light sensor went bad (which caused the engine light to come on which at times, made the car undriveable on the road as it wouldn't go past 25km/h), starter went bad, etc. There's probably more I'm forgetting. Car also revs up really high going uphill and sometimes going downhill if I hit the brakes. Before all the problems occurred though, I loved the car. A fun car to drive. I love Honda Civics but I've had a little too many problems with mine. If it wasn't for the problems I had with it and the fact I wanna drive a standard car again, I would keep the car. It's gonna keep causing me problems in the long run though unfortunately if I keep it so I'm gonna get a newer Honda Civic. The car had problems before I got it but got fixed and didn't cause me any problems until March last year. Sucks because I really liked the car until it caused me all those problems.

@tigergreg8 Can't remember. I got the car in August 2019 and sold it in April 2021. I have a newer Civic now. It had about 295000km when I sold it I believe. I probably put about 100000km on it as I drive a lot. I'm gonna guess it probably had about 225000km or a bit more when the problems started. It was problem after problem though. Had months of problems. I know some people who have older models that don't have a lot of problems with theirs.
