Today, we'll be discussing seven actions that narcissists usually take when you decide to enforce the 'No Contact' rule. However, before we delve into that, let's first understand what 'No Contact' entails.
Primarily, it's important to acknowledge that there are valid reasons why some of you might find it difficult or impossible to enforce 'No Contact' with the harmful narcissist in your life. That's perfectly fine. If you're in this category, this video might not be particularly pertinent to you. Everyone's circumstances are unique, and we all have to make decisions based on our current situations to manage our lives effectively. Therefore, if you're not in a position or willing to implement 'No Contact' at the moment, that's completely okay. I respect and appreciate your decision.
However, for many of you, 'No Contact' is undoubtedly the most effective strategy. Whether you've already implemented it or are planning to, you understand that it's going to be a significant factor in your healing and recovery process.
Enforcing 'No Contact' isn't a walk in the park. It often comes with irrational guilt, shame, and misplaced responsibility. It can be quite puzzling.
In many cases, we're fully addicted or trauma-bonded to these individuals. Thus, when we initiate 'No Contact', there will be a withdrawal period, which can be intensely painful, as I can attest from personal experience. The experience is similar to that of a smoker quitting smoking, an alcoholic stopping drinking, or a drug addict abstaining from their preferred substance.
Establishing 'No Contact' with someone you're trauma-bonded or love addicted to is like dealing with a full-blown addiction. The brain's biochemistry can cause actual physical withdrawal symptoms. When we take steps to escape such toxic and destructive relationship dynamics, we're bound to experience some withdrawal. It might be uncomfortable, and based on my experience, this discomfort can last for weeks, or even a few months. Riding this wave is challenging. However, establishing and maintaining 'No Contact' can be the determining factor in whether we successfully navigate to the other side.

I have deleted all social media for five years now and it has been a awesome journey I have many toxic friends so I don't talk to anyone where I live, I got professional help a few years ago because I was being heavily stalked, I am autistic and I know when someone has bad intentions for me. You are doing a great job.

It's incredibly brave of you to take the first step towards healing by seeking CBT therapy. Love addiction withdrawal can be incredibly challenging, but remember, seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. Therapy can offer you valuable tools and insights to understand your patterns, manage your emotions, and build healthier relationships. Keep an open mind, and be patient with yourself throughout this journey. Healing takes time, but each step forward is progress. You're not alone, and there's a community here supporting you. Sending you strength and hope. ❤️

It's incredibly brave of you to share your feelings and the steps you've taken towards healing. Going no contact, especially when dealing with the aftermath of a narcissistic relationship, is a significant and challenging step, but it's crucial for your emotional well-being. It's natural to feel hurt and tempted to reach out, particularly around significant dates like birthdays. However, remember the progress you've made in these three weeks and the reasons you chose to go no contact. Panic attacks and withdrawal symptoms are signs of how deeply this relationship has affected you. Reaching out might set back your healing process. Instead, consider marking his birthday as a day of self-care for you-do something special that celebrates your strength and resilience. You're not alone in this journey, and it's okay to seek support from friends, a therapist, or support groups. Keep prioritizing your health and well-being. You're doing great, and with time, it will get easier.
