Welcome to the RV life! Sorry that your mom is going through that. I was passed around Drs. for 3 years before my chiropractor of all people figured out what was going on (a food allergy of all things). But it was really scary so I'm sorry to hear that your mom has to go through it.

I'm sorry about your mother Ty, I've experienced something similar in the last year of my mum's life. It sucks that the professionals cannot always give a diagnosis. Tell her to keep up healthy eating, may help in the short run.

You know, i think the cool part about living in an rv is that if you go to a restaurant and the food makes your tummy hurt, you dont have to rush to your house feeling like you're about to shit your pants. You just go inside the Rv and that's it.

I'm glad to hear your mom's test was negative, and I understand the frustration at not having any answers. One of my best friends is going through what your mom is, like scarily similar. He even had his pancreas tested for cancer--it came up looking wonky but on further testing it was ruled out as a cause. He's still having mysterious and scary symptoms. I hope your mom and my friend both find some answers.

Ty, back issues suck and I totally know what you're going through and feel your pain. Obviously not being able to go to the gym is a big deal for you, so what are you doing proactively for your back issues? I hope you're not depending on pain meds. Have you tried a chiropractor? and as simple as it sounds...stretching does wonders! either through inversion or use of a medicine/work out ball. Obviously you really should find out exactly what the issue is first, but if it's just being overworked or arthritis, etc.. chiropractic & stretching therapy could get you back to feeling better and doing what you enjoy the most. :-) Hope you feel better soon & prayers for you & your mom!

do u do any back yoga at all? i had a really disabling lower back injury and my back hurt after that all the time. I was desperate and found yoga poses for it, instant relief and when done regularly (i do them before sleep as they're relaxing) it keeps pain at bay. I can't even remember what the pain felt like :) recommend 10/10

    1. lay on back with legs lifted up straight against a wall (10 min) 2. lay on back, arms out to the side, bring knees up together towards chest, then turn them both to your right, slowly to the ground, keep upper back down (1 min); repeat for left side 3. lay on stomach, prop upper body up on your forearms/elbows; push and bend upper body backwards; hold for 3 min Obviously vary according to comfort, etc. Personally I only do the 10 min one after long haul flights to drain fluid, and after having done the other two poses for a long time now, I take less than the 1 min or 3 min times; also I've added some upper back poses recently... :) good luck!

Thanks for the update. Please don't worry about video quality...take care of yourself, Ty. Dealing with a sick parent is very difficult, and I am so sorry you and your mother are going through this uncertain time. It makes launching into life hard when your mind is at home, worrying. I think your mom would want you to experience life to the fullest while you are young, and this is the appropriate time to do these things. I think for many parents, it would be an even worse situation if they thought their child's life experiences were being stunted because of their illness. You might include her in your journeys the way you include us (privately), and jump into these projects with both feet! Bless you.

Has your mom been tested for Lyme Disease by chance? It's extremely difficult to properly diagnose, as there is not a consistent test in many States, however there is a lab in Cali you can send blood to be properly tested. Just an idea.. It causes many symptoms that are almost always misdiagnosed as something else.

Know exactly what you mean about 'going off the rails' in general once you stop hitting the gym! Would you feel comfortable going and just avoiding the weights - half an hour jogging or something? I have a bad back and find running keeps everything loose and stops it from tightening up and causing more issues down the line (my problem is different from yours but thought it's worth suggesting). Best wishes to your mom, I really hope a diagnosis and treatment are on their way x

Hey Ty. I hope your mom gets better soon and that your back gets better so you can go to the gym. Here's a hug through internet *hugs phone*. You have given me so much hope and I don't have a way to express how much you have unknowingly done for me. I'm sorry life has dealt you such a crappy deck currently, let's hope that you get that one card that wins you the game! Feel free for to always come back to this for an internet hug, because they are infinite! You are such an amazing young man and as a trans guy myself, you have been a source of hope for me in my slow transition. I was rly sad when my mom said I have to wait till I'm older, as in when I'm in my 20s, to get T. She says I'm to young to know that's what I really want(which I would understand if we were talking something that isn't crucial to my mental health). What I want, is to go to prom and graduate as cis passing(I am super feminine, and I really want to be masculine). Your videos helped bring me back up after this major slap in the face. I hope I can convince my mom to let me start a little earlier than she has told me. Your videos also keep me calm when I come home from school, as I'm often there on my own for an hour. I have bad anxiety and a creepy house, so just putting on your videos with full volume while I do homework really helps keep me calm. Thank you so much Ty❤️, you have helped me through sooo much. I hope you feel better, and that your mom gets better as well. With All the love I can muster, many hugs and good wishes from Minnesota! (You should visit Grand Marais-I don't live there, but it's a beautiful spot- it has a beautiful forest, lots of waterfalls, it has some amazing people, it's right on Lake Superior, and sooo many opportunities for some amazing photos. Beware though, it is way up north, so I'd check weather watch before you go up there. You don't want to be stuck in a cabin/ camper while it's pouring rain. It's best to go in the fall- or maybe early to late summer for a non Minnesotan lol- because that's when all of the beautiful colors come out. And if you go on a hike through the rocky hills and steep paths you won't be sweating too much, but I'd bring a heavy sweatshirt just in case you get some cold wind or take a flat path. (FUN FACT: The town used to have more moose than people before moose where hunted to almost extinction.) a fun thing to do is to go down and walk the flood wall to the light house. I would suggest not trying to swim in the lake though, as it is very cold year round. Cold enough that when you step up to your knees you'll have trouble breathing. Yup. I've tried.) ok, I'm going to stop with the full blown essay and just tell you that it's a nice spot to visit. Not in winter though. As a Minnesotan I advise that you don't go unless you want -40F and a foot of snow.(the lake still doesn't freeze though) ---------------- I'm sry I said I was done with the essay but kept going. Lol. I hope you feel well soon and that your mom gets better too! Love from the Canada of the US, ❤️👋🏻😁! -Austin

When doctors cannot diagnose symptoms in a patient,. a lot of times it turns out to be the immune system. The immune system can no longer distinguish between cells that are "self" and actual invading bacteria, and therefore attack their own cells as foreign invaders. It can cause all kinds of strange temporary problems that mysteriously go away, only have have a new symptom come along. This can go on for decades.
