I'm so happy you came into the universe!!! Ok this will take time but I'm stressed. I was attacked last year right after I got a debt free and woke up in the ICU and now owe 30000.00 to the hospital. My subcontract job just changed companies so didn't have insurance. I was about to open a business as well so with the head trauma and everything I'm just now getting back on track. I understand. I sure hope you do well and find your home. I went through a place here called INHP. I got a $6,000.00 grant for my first condo I bought. It is a state agency. Maybe you can go under NCSHA.org. I was also offered enought funds to fix up my condo if i wanted it, but I didnt take it. My mortgage happens to be superlow for a big condo. Best of luck

call 211 and tell them you are looking for help to train for a new job.. ALSO contact you local Community College ..they always have short term training programs for good jobs. There is a government program if you have trouble paying student loans.. call 211 on that one too.. if they can;t help let me know..

I am a semi retired 59 yr old with health problems and hubby who is 59 is the major bread winner Earns about 48,000 a yr. and he just had heart problems and had 2 stents put in and has Ryder syndrome a form of arthritis and we are really struggling with keeping bills and mortgage paid. Mortgage has been reduced a few yrs ago with Making homes affordable act .That helped us when I had to leave my job because of health issues and it was a state job so no disability was paid in so I do not get anything but 200 for retirement a month..The house is in need of some major renovations though and we are just keeping our head above water. What grants do you think we could get for money to repair a leaky roof and kitchen renovations from mold etc? I did check home renovations grants or Free money for Home renovations. I am a playwright who has produced his own plays in local "little theaters." I wrote a historical play which requires expensive costumes and a large cast, the overall cost would be prohibitive for me but not for something like Broadway. I am a single woman hat lives in portage ,IN . I have been own my own since 15 and helped raise my sister and nephew s. I emancipated at the age 14 and a half from the court system and I put myself through school and my sister's through school but I didn't complete my college education I was more concerned about her family and I've always taking care of everybody else until 4 years ago I became very ill and I can hardly do anything outside or inside without blacking out or being out for days and having some kind of an episode like a seizure and I was wondering if there might be a chance that I might be able to apply for a grant. I am not able to work outside and be independent as I used to or you can keep my own house work up like I used to I'm supposed to be having help 24/7 but I can't afford to have the help but I'm coming to you and that's why I'm in my pride and asking if there might be a grant that will fit me thank you sincerely Peters Sincerely Theresa Peters @219-331-5419

Check your county Website. I work for the Community Development Agency in my county and we offer weatherization for low income homeowners. Check it out. I think HUD requires all states to have something
