The Tibetan Wildass is one of the more common ungulates found across the plains of the high Himalayas. The species faces immense pressure from habitat loss due to livestock overgrazing, which is being catalysed by climate change. Moreover, the spread of diseases from livestock is a potential threat. Free ranging dogs are also a major threat.
