There really should be some award for humans like these guys that are some kind and humane in helping save the lives of wildlife.
Putting their lives in danger to save a herd of Wyoming elk! This is the most heartwarming video I've ever watched! Thanks for the selfless deed!
Those animals would have been gone if it were not for those brave caring souls!

I'm amazed at the one person's ability to wear the pink tank top and no gloves! They are really impervious to the cold. And great job saving the elk!

@@margaretszuky7065 Thanks! Always remember your worst enemy can be your best friend in another life, and vice versa. We are capable of both deep love if controlled, and deep hate if left unchecked. Just keep being a good person and the rest will work itself out, or it won't... But don't concentrate on the negatives. Spread the love, and when the going gets tough, know that, those are the times when keeping control is paramount.

We only saw a few mins, imagine how long & how much stress & effort everyone must've endured to get that result. Those people are simple AWESOME! And I hope all those Elk were saved. Man when I see that I feel my life is so sheltered.. damn it I'm goin out to look for a cat or even a duck to save!

(Johanna) Your too funny. Lol. Did anyone here ever see the movie about, i think it was 3 Orcas trapped under ice, i belive in Alsaka. And how the men, whole town, came to help cut open the ice and free them toward the ocean again ? Sadly one had died. The Orcas went beyond hours of excertion trying to stay alive. I think there was a baby in the mix. I don't rememeber. (Drew Barry)

@@Patrick-xe3kp They freed a dozen whales in northern Canada,(20 years ago?) the media was all over it, hundreds of people showed up and it took a week or more to get them to open water...even a Coast Guard ice breaker was used, millions of dollars spent....only to have the Inuit kill them after they were freed lol....

I love these guys. The Elk were stunned but not so much to not be able to say , "Thanks, guys." 💓 I even saw the last one crack a smile😁
Really have to admire these men. Incredible rescue.

Can't even imagine the rush and amount of satisfaction these people are feeling after saving those Elk.

OMG, my heart sang when they were all recovered from the ice. These MEN are simply the BEST.

What an amazing rescue and then in the ice with big animals is by no means an easy task. Well done guys shows that there is still a bit of humanity left on this otherwise cruel planet.

Chin up, friend -- humanity is more good than bad. Few among us wouldn't be touched by this rescue, let alone wish that it had gone badly. Have a look through these comments, at the like-to-dislike ratio, at the number of people working to save them despite the cold, danger, and thanklessness of the job. Empathy has helped us survive; I hope that gives you hope.

Maybe it’s because they don’t like how the video was filmed in parts, or couldn’t see and clicked the wrong button due to bad eyes or just wanted to see them freeze etc. so I don’t think people dislike because they are cold hearted it’s just that they are more criticizing.

I've seen herds of Elk before and honestly seeing them in this condition is truly unsettling, im glad they were helped though! Great work
Sometimes, not very often, but sometimes, I think humans deserve to continue our stewardship of this planet. I wish I could thank these heroes personally for their courage and determination during this rescue. As long as some of us can act like this in times of crisis, there is still hope for us all! This has to be so stressful, knowing every second counts and that is 12 additional elk. Due to the body structure ofelk and especially moose falling in the ice cold waters is usually a for sure death
God Bless all of you for your humanity, I find my eyes welling with tears of joy, great job.

I'm from Northern Wisconsin.... I see it all the time.... People just get acclimated to the cold when it's the climate 6 months of the year.

They're heroic! Even though I knew the elk would be saved I still found myself holding my breath. Wonderful stories like this strengthen my faith in the inherent goodness of humankind.

they have a thick double coat. they will herd together and be just fine. as long as it doesnt precipitate on them and they can dry off over then next day. 99% sure those elk were just fine.
The best of human spirit shining through with these guys, I would buy them all a beer and a rack of ribs after this absolute heroes👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

@@BeaIEngio Yeah exactly I just don't get this logic. I have seen elsewhere in similar videos people calling themselves animal lovers, when in fact they are probably only capable of living the one animal they pet, other are just protein for them. Really sad how people can be like that.
