By far the best bit of the whole film.. we need a film or series about just him completing all of the 12 labours! 👌

I went in expecting the whole movie to be about the twelve labors, but no it was just the first five minutes. I still enjoyed the movie.

Loved this movie. Yes, no monsters but the essence of Hercules is there and I liked the story overall and also the casting :) Good movie.

I enjoyed the heck out of this movie

Dwayne Johnson is perfect fit for gigantic characters like Hercules and Ravanan... No one match him

People are saying it's a fun movie, but it would have been a lot more fun if they had actually shown the 12 challenges he did instead of giving us glimpses at he beginning.

+Sharpclawasaurus Actually at the end of the movie, it shows an animated retelling of how Hercules performed his legendary 12 Labours but he was not alone as his companions assisted him in those tasks. His 12 Labours were accomplished as a result of teamwork with his companions.

100000% agreed. What a crap. Greek Mythology has by far some of the best stories. It is the origin of true storytelling. And then they make such a lousy, modern and uninspired action hero movie. What a pitty.

I actually really like the way the trailer totally fooled us all, that was clearly part of the plan because that is exactly what Hercules with his friends in the movie does. I enjoyed the movie as a fun, cool B-Flick. Well done tricking us! Great marketing-gag.

I want see Hercules actually complete the 12 labours.

@@geomeopeoleo1740 I agree with this. The concept for this movie was great imo, however some of the execution was lacking. Like the war scenes really ruined the movie for me with how unrealistic they were. Which was weird for a movie that tried to bring realism to mythology.

We don’t need a humanized demigod any more than we needed a selfish and lying Beowulf. These days, we need true heroes and the myths are epic enough for a faithful adaptation.

Even though the boss fights were in the beginning I still want to watch it

I'm not saying I didn't think this movie had any redeeming qualities. It's a fun movie without the need for alcohol, but it is rather lacking of the action and heroics that coincide with the stories of Hercules.

it was a good popcorn fantasy drinking movie not bad and fun. why all the critical reviews people sheesh. sit back relax and watch fantasy films that were cheesy like back in the 80s remember beastmaster, sword and the sorcerer, stuff like that? lol. loved it all. this brings me back to those days. Hell even willow was cheesy but a fun escape for a while.

Everyone is missing the point. In this movie, the story of him being the son of Zeus and performing twelve labors... was just a story. Iolaus talked him up before he showed up to fight so that the men would already be afraid of him and believe he was invincible. In this film’s reality, he was an exceptionally strong man leading what were essentially a band of mercenaries. He fought for money until he didn’t. All the rest was talk.
