When you realize the minotaur was Hercules distant relative and Theseus and pegasus was half brothers

"Umm yeah, got that bull you wanted, here it is. What should we do with it now?" "I dunno, just let it go I guess, where it can torment all of Greece. It can be someone else's problem."

The labor of Hercules of capturing the Cretan Bull had an important symbolism behind, and probably represented the victory of the Mycenaeans of Argos against the Minoans of Crete (Hercules, as the symbol of the Mycenaean power, who defeats the Cretan Bull, symbol of the Minoan power). The Stymphalian Birds also have an important symbolism with Hercules being assisted by his sister Athena, Goddess of Wisdom, pointing out the triumph of the wisdom and the mind, against the brutality of the Stymphalian Birds.

That bull was the father of the minotaur!? I thought that story was a few hundred years old before Hercules was born. Does that mean since that this was no ordinary bull, it was immortal?

No the events take place in a shorter period. The time line is correct,Actually the younger Theseus was a fan of Herakles🙂

That ending piece of trivia got me. Never knew that Theseus killed both the Minotaur and its father. Also I guess this was before him and Pirithous decided to kidnap and marry Helen of Troy and Persephone, which failed miserably

0:32 It was impossible for his task. Hercules asked his sister Athena for help and offered him musical iron instrument made by the god Hephaestus. That should help you make noise that drove the birds away and shoot down a few birds with his bow and arrows in the blood of the Hydra. 1:35 Alright Hercules fight and capture mighty cretan bull on a ship healing for the pelopnnese. 1:54 Hercules arrive and King see that he capture strong bull. No wonder Hercules was strong to capture bull. 👏👏 Wow, that was totally impressive story of The 12 Labors of Hercules #7. That should remind humanity in history to the bright future awaits.

heracles used the rattle and scared the birds which abandoned their nests and started flying. He then shot most of them down using arrows which he had previously dipped into the poisonous blood of the monster Hydra.

Labor 6: The Stymphalian Birds For this one, I feel like the one he didn't shoot down would just come back. Labor 7: The Cretan Bull Eurystheus let the (dangerously wild) bull just roam free on the land......yeah, that doesn't sound like a King who cares.
