First time I heard this song was with the british Hip Hop group US3 and they blew my mind (long time ago) and I thought what a piece of music, then I knew why, Herbie Hancock was the genius behind this and definitely he was a step ahead of many, he was ready for the future, it has sense to me now.

Hola Manuel. Después de tanto tiempo vengo a reaccionar ante tu comentario, que de válido lo es. Pero según yo, el genio creador de ésto fue Geoff Wilkinson, un compositor y productor británico, a quien se le ocurrió mezclar el jazz y el hip hop y así nació ésta maravilla de tema. En fin...tengas la razón o yo la tenga, nadie puede decir que no se le mueve el piso cuando suena esa increíble trompeta. Saludos desde Chile, Sudamérica.😁😁

Wonderful. Over 20 years since I last heard this piece and it still sounds just as exciting and fresh as it did then. Herbie Hancock is guilty of being great in any musical style: jazz, funk, rock, r&b, "easy listening" and whatever other genre he chooses to compose and record in. He's an American treasure as far as I'm concerned.
