"Don Cornelius was a pioneer & a trailblazer. He was the first African-American to create, produce, host & more importantly OWN his own show." Soul Train came on the scene in 1971 and was hosted by Mr. Cornelius from that point up until 1993. The show continued to be the “hippest trip in America” exposing new talent and having an impact on youth everywhere. Think about it, where else on TV would you get to see people dance down the “Soul Train line” to the hottest songs of the moment!

If you think his suicide was a cover-up, you are sadly mistaken and need to stop reading into conspiracy theories. His health wasn't in very good shape at the time of his death. An autopsy showed that he had been suffering from seizures as a result of an operation he had in 1982. The result of that operation led to him stepping down as the host of Soul Train. And his son Tony said that his father told him, and I quote, "I don't know how much longer I can take this". Now let me ask you, do you have any proof it was a cover-up? If not, then don't say anything else about it.
