Each HER episode features three women from three Asian countries and different parts of society. The topics range from dating to beauty. They are universal, existential and controversial stories told by the women themselves: What links them? What distinguishes them? What challenges do they face?From beauty contests to cosmetic surgery, magazines and TV shows: The obsession with women’s beauty is ubiquitous. Images of ideal beauty surround us daily. But what does it actually mean to be “beautiful”? And who sets the standards? HER shows three very personal and very different approaches to what makes a woman beautiful.
