Hey, I wanted to thank you for bringing her story to us. While watching how you handled this story and left the gruesome details out, it not only impressed me but inspired me. I am currently working on how to tell a story much like this one with Mary, where an entire family were murdered. It's very graphic and disturbing and everyone on KZread that has covered it went with all the gruesome details in their videos. I was wanting to do something different with my special twist at the end and I think you've inspired me on how to do that. I wanted to Thank You again for all that you do and I may even mention you in my video explaining how you inspired me to focus on the story and victims instead of the tragic, gorey details that so many others have focused on. Stay safe and keep up the great work. (in my mind's eye, I can see a long line of people standing side by side waiting to shake your hand when your time is over here. They're the hundreds upon hundreds of people you have paid your respects to. They're waiting to welcome you home and show their appreciation.) Wouldn't that be a glorious day?! You deserve it buddy, you really do, for all that you've done for those who no longer have a voice.

There is always a special place in ‘you know where’ waiting for people who hurt children and animals. I’m sure that even though the parents didn’t get a life sentence in jail, they are serving one now. Thank you for bringing light to this little angel’s story.

The Bible tells us that it would be better for a person to have a millstone tied around their neck and be cast into the ocean than to hurt one of these little ones. Come the second ressurection those two wicked ones have a very angry God to face, and there will not be an ounce of mercy mixed into their penalty. Woe to all those that commit such deeds.😢😢😢😢

I remember hearing this story for the first time as a teen, and later, doing research, finding pictures of Mary Magdalene's funeral. Also finding that the murderers served very little time. Such a sad ending to this little girl!!! You honored her very well!

I'm originally from Georgia but I live in WV for the past 22 years and my father in laws family is buried on top of a mountain. How can anyone be so cruel 😢 😔 I have a 3 and 2 year old granddaughters I couldn't imagine that for that to them

I just found your page. What a terrible story. You presented it with respect and dignity. I spent many years in the funeral/cemetery industry and have had to deal first hand with children who suffered this kind of fate. May they never be forgotten.

Thank you for your respect in telling this story. In that day and time, child abuse wasn't as widespread as it is these days, and from I've learned the culprits were brought to justice. Sadly, child abuse deaths are occurring routinely, and the abusive monsters escape true justice.

Hi new sub here and I just want to say you really need to tell this type of story exactly as you did. There's nothing more heartbreaking than a baby's death and in this case you're respectful and very sweet about it. Sometimes we need to hear it so we can be on the lookout that might prevent another needless death. I had to add after the end that they may have gotten only 14 years but I have no doubt they're in for it good when they meet The Only Judge That Matters ❤️🌹

I'm from route 2 in greenup Kentucky and as a kid my papaw ordered the book about her and it was so sad. It had photos of the dad, the gf/housekeeper, poor little mary, and the funeral with all those people in attendance. people lined the streets of greenup all around what looks to be the riverside. She was 3 but was the weight of a 1 year old baby sadly. I believe this actually was what ended up making child abuse a actual crime or caused more severe punishments either in Kentucky or the entire united states. It always bothered my papaw cause she was the same age as him and lived close to where he grew up. One fact is back in the late 80s early 90s her tombstone either hot vandalized or just damaged from being so old and the head got broken off the angel and it had other bad damages/ wear and tear so Billy ray cyrus paid to have it repaired. You can still get the book on Amazon called "cruelly murdered the tragic story of Mary Madeline pitts". I've read it and it's truly heartbreaking and angers you at the same time.
