At the start I hated her health reducing feature but after a while I actually started loving it. It makes Jun outstanding and unique as a character in tekken 8. The idea of losing part of your health and then trying to recover it like nothing happened is very entertaining.

I think the mechanic can be explained by the lore. Like "a great power that actually slowly kills you".

@@allnighterist my guess is that Kazuya will die, Zafina will be completely taken over by Azazel due to Jin & Kazuya fighting and Jun & Claudio will exorcize Jin after he absorbed Azazel from Zafina and hopefully Angel will come to claim Azazel's orb for safe keeping And then in Tekken 10, 10 years after Tekken 9, Jin will finally hook up with Xiaoyu and have kids in a peaceful world but then the king of hell himself will show up and take over the world due to Jin not having the devil jin anymore which will force Angel to grant Jin and maybe a few of his friends the power of the Angel gene like in the Tekken comic and its gonna be an all out war✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾 And in Tekken 11 we'll see an evil Jin Mishima from a parallel universe who was raised by the Mishimas( hence the name Jin Mishima)... this Jin will still have full control over his devil gene and was raised and trained to utilize his devil power to the limit, which he used to kill the king of hell and absorb his power to make himself the new king of hell... and then learns of other universes with other Devil Jins to absorb so he can take on heaven and God himself ( who will turn out to be Harada himself 😋🥺😫🙆🏾‍♂️😑😂 oh my god can you imagine a Tekken game where Harada himself is the final final boss of Tekken verse😫😑) 🤣😂✊🏾 At least that's what I wish to see

To me she is lol. And yeah she is Jin’s mother but she went missing back in Tekken 3. We don’t know where she has been all this time and why she went missing. Gotta wait until the game releases to find out.

You can tell Asuka and Jun could be sisters there fighting styles are different but they're stance is similar

Hello RicksStarz! I just found out about you recently because I want to main Jun in Tekken 8 and I’ve been told that Asuka’s style is very close to Jun and that they have some of the same moves and so that’s how I found your videos as I am trying to practice with Asuka in Tekken 7 right now. I just want to say that you are an amazing player and now I think I want to main Jun and have Asuka as my secondary because I never knew you could have so much fun with her. I don’t know if you play with a regular controller or if you play with a hit box or something but what do you recommend? I think I can be better but I play with my regular PS5 controller and so I feel kinda limited when it comes to the movement and certain moves like the wind god fists. Anyway, sorry for writing so much but you got a new sub and fan right here ❤ :)

Hello! Thank you so much for the kind words. I currently play with a PS5 Pad but I kind of prefer the PS4 pad a bit more because it’s a bit smaller and less stiff to me. I feel that most pro players play with stick or mixbox because it is easier to backdash cancel and wave dash. Of course, it’s all about preference. You can have exceptional movement on pad as well.

0:22 She has a normal hop kick? did you get to find out how fast it is? I think one of her biggest weaknesses in tag 2 was she couldn't launch at 15f. If it is a standard hop kick then that is a nice addition.

It’s her WS3 (Her WS3 is now her WS3+4. It is 15f and it’s guaranteed after her Counter hit crouch df2. Very glad they gave her better punishment is this game! 🔥

thoughts on the health reducing for Jun? I kind of imagine what if you are low at health like let us say 10% of your health then yiou do pressure moves (reducing health mechanic for Jun) then the only thing you have is your white life bar

Tbh I hardly ever notice the health reducing. I feel like it was pretty rare I lost a round mainly from doing her health reducing moves. She also regains good amounts of chip health back from doing her health reducing moves when she is in heat so it balances out anyway.

They never confirmed her as being dead, just “missing”. During her time not being present in the main games, she was one of the characters that was highly requested. We just got going to have to wait and see when the game comes out to know the story.

We won't know until the game releases. But on the Tekken anime during the fight between Ogre and Jun (showcasing what happened between Tekken 2 and 3) Jin is knocked unconscious and Ogre TELEPORTS away from the village explosion while Jun is grappled to him! Hence why her body was never found.

I think she did trip around the world to learn exorcist skills to release Jin and Kazuya from devil genes. She was released from her own cursed body(Unknown) by Angel so she realized that she should be follow that path (holy learning) in the future in order to save his son and Kazuya

​@@olft1092you forget few things: 1) Tekken Tags plot isn't canon, even while it may show some relations between some characters (like Steve and mother of Leo) 2) Anime was trying to keep canon line but feels like they changed some moments (Leroy wasn't in Tekken 3, Ogre fight wasn't including Hwo and Xiao) so i don't really think that is correct canon. The game never told us that Jun died or teleported somewhere. She was just missing.

why is Jun Kazama in Tekken 8? I thought she died after Tekken 2 (yes i'm old and had tekken 2 and 3 in the 90s)

She was never dead, just missing. Everyone, including Jin, the roster, and the audience assumes she died because of the explosion and her body, nor was Ogre's, was never found. So she was "presumed" to be dead. However, in the Tekken anime on Netflix shows the fight between them, notice the split second right before the explosion Ogre TELEPORTS while Jun is grappled to him! So she likely was in another plane of existence/dimension and couldn't find a way out yet.

So they made Jun from a complete badass in tekken 2 to a unrealistic wimp

How the input is for the reversal in the Genjutsu stance?

Does she straight up die if you do one of her health sacrificing moves if she is 1 hp?

When she does her light beam attacks she sacrifices some of her health. Using her light beam attacks makes her combos stronger. When is she is heat though, she regains health from using her light beam attacks instead of losing health.
