You can use as many as you want on the beach outside of the sfbay.

Tom lee is correct when crabbing. You can only crab outside the bay, so outside of the golden gate bridge.

I service my reels at the end of every season. This time I packed it with grease instead oil, probably causing the squeaking but will protect from corrosion! I caught my limit 3 times already, videos to come! 😄
Yes……!!? Clean & oil your reel mate. Trick, use the foot out of ladies pantyhose, put bait into that & cast it out. Crabs get their legs caught in the nylon pantyhose. (More than crab 🦀 giving her the eye!!)

Reel is packed with grease causing the squeaking.. I’ll use oil next season, grease seems to stay longer!
Why do you run up the beach? That's not necessary.
