Hensoldt Wetzlar, 1970ies for Bundeswehr . No Leitz, no Leica, no Zeiss . @ Joe dalton : NO ! NOT ZEISS !!! Hensoldt Wetzlar :-) . The owner already said : Hensoldt :-)

This is wide angle binoculars.

I have a very old 1970s pair of these 10x 50s, ex west german army, then used by some other foreign army, untill early 1990s the rubber armour is now worn, and tatty, and the prism is chipped , probably from being dropped countless times, but the bottom line,....is, after over 40 years of use and abuse by countless careless folk, these hensoldts still have a very bright,almost crystal clear image, with only one or two very tiny specks barely visible!, as the tubes are gas filled, they will never ever mist or fog up, no matter how harsh the conditions are, desert, snow, heavy rain, mist etc, the seperate eyepiece focus is brilliant, they are big compared to modern binocs, but you have to remember these might be older, but they were built to last a couple of lifetimes, and every bit as good as civillian leica, or other high end brands, i paid a couple of hundred quid for mine about fifteen years ago, and they have been worth every penny😀

no gas filling in these 1970ies models. Yes you are absolutely right : heavy and bulky, but crisp, bright, sharp image !!! Even today one of the best ( in very good condition , of course). Worth every cent and lasting forever

It´s hard to compare as the Hensoldt is a military binocular and the БПЦ is not. If I would compare this Hensoldt to the БПОs I´d prefer the БПОs since they are not so heavy and have oculars that fit my camera perfectly.

excuse me, what is the maximum reading of the x-axis on the reticle? is it + - 40?

Yes, it´s + - 40 (it´s the standard reticle of german military field glasses which was already used in WW2 - so called: Heereseinheitsstrichplatte H/6400).

I got a hensoldt 8x30, a steiner 8x30 and a SRB&STYS 7x50 which all have that reticle.

I have wetzlar 10x50 but I can not find rangefinder can you tell me how do i do it

There are models without the rangefinding reticle in it - so yours is probably one of them if you can´t see the reticle by looking through the bino.

all of these Bundeswehr 1970ies 10x 50 models had a reticle , while the Bundeswehr 1970ies 7x 50 usually never had a reticle. If you havea 10x WITHOUT reticle, it should have been removed while somebody cleaned it for example.

What kind of that aeroplane is,?
