HENSLEY BD3 TRAILER SAVER vs BLUE OX 7200: IS ONE BETTER ?

In this and upcoming videos, we're comparing the Hensley Trailer Saver BD3 vs. the Blue Ox 7200 5th wheel hitches.
We'll discuss the issues and pros and cons of each hitch, and which one may be better for you.
If you're looking to buy a fifth wheel hitch or replace an existing one, then this video is for you! We'll compare the Hensley Trailer-saver and the Blue Ox 7200 hitches and discuss the pros and cons of each hitch. By the end of the video, you'll have a better understanding of which hitch is right for you.
If you recall we had some loose screws (no jokes please, ok, maybe a few) and had the hitch replaced by Blue Ox. After a trip to Colorado and back we had the same issue on the replacement. However it was addressed and fixed and I describe that in this video on what worked. I've been looking around at another hitch in the event I decided to swap this one out. That is where Hensley came to play. I reached out to Hensley about a year ago and finally decided to give the hitch a try.
They give a 30 day trial and if not happy it can be sent back and as of this writing, shipping back is free.
I paid full price for this hitch it was not a promotion nor is this an endorsement (yet).
So, over the next few videos we'll discuss the Blue ox, pro's and cons, and some of the issues I think we'll uncover with the new one.
I think finally we'll summarize our findings and announce which one works best for us.

Trailer saver is made to smooth out the ride, not to make sharper turns. I have one and love it. In the past i used a demco autoslide that was great for that application. Until recently, just used mopar 30k.

We love it. It has made such an improved ride towing our Grand Design 295 RL

What’s type of turning radius do you get with the Trailer Saver? I have a short bed truck and love the 90 degree turns I can make with my PullRite

I haven't made a 90. Ever. Even with the Blue Ox hitch in the maneuver position. It puts a lot of stress on the tires/wheels of the RV. One of the tires, I forget which, will drag and create excessive wear and strain on the suspension. Even with the Morryde I.S. I've seen those tires lean, scrape, drag and I've never yet been in a position to need to make a 90 degree turn. However, I have made some really tight turns and had plenty of clearance from the cap to the cab of the truck. Hope that helps and thank you for watching! I will however, make a note of this and will see what kind of a turn I can make. Maybe a good drone shot!
