Henry Kissinger at 100: Former Secretary of State on China Relations, Vladimir Putin, US Politics

Former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger sat down with Bloomberg Editor-in-Chief John Micklethwait on June 7 in New York City to discuss his life and career upon turning 100 years old. The wide-ranging conversation ranged from his concerns that China could end up in a military conflict with the US over Taiwan to the future of President Vladimir Putin after Russia's invasion of Ukraine. He talks about how his own worldview was shaped by what he experienced as a Jewish teenager escaping Nazi Germany and by what he saw in the concentration camps as an American soldier.

You sound extremely condescending as if you're the only one that knows about some of the less glamorous aspects of his political career and can't in spite of some worthwhile critiques, see him as an insightful elder statesman. Maybe in the narrow-minded circles which you travel in he is nothing more than a "war criminal" but that's only one perspective to a complicated guy. At least he'll be remembered. You and the viewpoint you're articulating are a dime-a-dozen. Learn more and maybe if you're lucky you'll be remembered for something, if anything at all. Show some respect for your elders.

Henry Kissinger played a major role in shaping US foreign policy in Africa during the 1970s. He was a strong supporter of anti-communist governments and movements and often used covert operations to achieve his goals. One of the most controversial outcomes was his support for UNITA in Angola, which prolonged the civil war, causing immense suffering. The US government, including Henry Kissinger as Secretary of State, viewed Kwame Nkrumah's socialist and pro-Soviet leanings as a threat to their strategic interests. As a result, the US supported efforts to undermine Nkrumah's government, including a coup that eventually led to his ousting in 1966. Kissinger also supported the apartheid regime in South Africa, despite international criticism. His actions damaged US relations with African countries and fueled anti-American sentiment in the region. Is the United States still running covert operations in Africa?

No one has done more damage to United States strategic interests and global security than Kissinger. Siding with Pakistan in 1971 who was engaging in mass genocide in what became Bangladesh and against India permanently damaged relations with the most populous democracy in the world. Siding with the Peoples Republic of China to pour money into it was disastrous because it made no difference in Sino Soviet relations which were always strained and worse it funded the modernization of the Peoples Liberation Army and Chinese Communist Party efforts to undermine the United States for decades with the ultimate goal of total destruction of the USA. Kissinger is either a colossal idiot or a traitor who has been influenced by the Chinese Communist Party. He has cost the United States trillions of dollars and only made the US weaker. Nixon should have gone to India instead and gone all in with help for them. Out of red scare fear of communist influence in India, he went all in on support of the core communist nightmare in China. This led to China becoming factory for the world and intentionally undermining the US with our own money. That money should have gone into India instead where it would strengthen a potential ally rather than into China strengthening a certain enemy.

If one were to study this interview, they would come away with a more clearer understanding of the Kissinger "credo". But they should not try and define it and most certainly not try and compare him to any other statesman, either past or present as there are none that could measure up to him. This exalted teacher of Gods and men has worked tirelessly at laying the foundations of our world government. While Henry Kissinger has had allies in laying the cornerstones of this golden age we are all entering, let us hope he also has had many disciples that will follow in his path.

You're right Amania. I had a vision a couple of years ago that showed me that this is spiritual warfare, so I wasn't surprised when we started to see the Satanic rituals becoming common. I am a sinner but for some reason i know that God has chosen me for something. I don't know what that is yet, but I am comforted knowing that thatvis what this is. I know who wins in the end.
