Indian is not a language, but in Malaysia we just use it as a blanket term sometimes because there are so many dialects mish mashed and spoken here. Chinese isn't a language either but I don't see anyone kicking up a fuss over that (we mix mandarin, hokkien, canto etc). Either way, Malaysians usually mix english, malay, indian & chinese dialects in everyday speech. Chill

His first film role is Pisau Cukur..but only for few scenes. Crazy rich Asian is his first starring role. Although i remember back in 2013 he did acted in Malaysian indie film called The Borneo Incident (lead role) but the film never screen anywhere till today

It's because in Malaysia, malaysian-indians speak tamil which is also widely known as bahasa india in malay, or indian language in english (but mostly refer to tamil)

As Malaysian, I can confirmed, we do understand a bit with Chinese (Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka, Hokkien) and Tamil especially with swearing.. it's kinda typical malaysian thing.. we even mix it while ordering food..
