Gawd that bloody Commando is just plain beautiful isn't it. It brings back memories of me standing at the traffic lights as a 17 year old pauper in Queen Street Auckland in the late 60's / 70's drooling over them and listening to the idling whistle from the beautiful rocket shaped mufflers fitted to them in that era before sneaking around the corner to mount my trusty Suzuki AC50 with its stylish up swept pipe lol to buzz off home and dream of one day owning a Norton Commando . Love Henry, loved his Worlds Greatest Motorcycle Rides series on the telly. Get annoyed at various comments directed at him by people that apparently do not know many English people that have a penchant for calling a spade a spade, which for some odd reason they interpret as being a grizzling whinging pom! ... keep up the good work Henry, oh, and glad you enjoyed your little foray around New Zealand, Godzown country with roads made for motorcycles all over the place.

@@sambrooks7862 I agree Sam. I had a GSXR1100K, new in 1989. It went like stink, but the (non upside down) front forks were awful) and made the bike, not much fun to ride. I've got quite broad shoulders and couldn't see anything of interest in the mirrors either and got stopped at quite a fair speed eventually, by a cop on a wheezie old Beemer. Before we'd even stopped, he raised his visor and said. "in excess of 110mph between ??? and ??? and in excess of 120mph between ??? and ??? I was doing 120mph and you were disappearing away from me" He read me the riot act, once we'd stopped and then we chatted about the bike for about 45 mins, during which he had a sit on, because he was going to buy one. His final words to me were, and I quote, "consider this to be the biggest bollocking you've ever had". I remember this day very well, because it was the first time I'd hit 10000rpm in 5th gear which was 150mph!! and I saved my job. One of the real good guys!

@@RichardASK I did some work for a guy about 15 years ago and he couldn't pay me so he gave me a really rough 89 slingshot 750k that was just chucked in his shed. I didn’t really want it, I had a gixer 1000 at the time, but I wanted some sort of payment. Anyway it sat in my garage for over a year then I saw the same model at the bmf show. It must've had thousands thrown at it, to this day it's the most stunning streetfighter I've ever seen. So I thought I'd give it a go. Off with the knackered bodywork and dented tank, gixer k2 seat unit, k2 forks and rear shock, you get the picture. Anyway I got it pretty much how I thought I wanted it and rode it for an mot, after riding the 1000 it felt like a puch maxi so I started looking for an 1157 lump to put in it, or at least a 1052? I actually found a 1200 bandit motor and I couldn't believe my luck, the guy had desperately been hunting for the apparently rare 750 "dot" motor so we did a straight swap. Anyway in went the motor, took it to X bikes in wisbech to have it set up and according to the dyno it was putting out 152hp which I thought was not only bloody impressive but a testament to the genius of Chris at X bikes. The thing was phenomenal, you could steer it with your eyeballs. The trick was not to be afraid to boss it. If I could find another I'd buy it in a heartbeat. Fantastic bikes.
@RichardASK

@@sambrooks7862 I suppose the nearest, that I've got to a streetfighter is my current newest bike, a Yamaha MT10. I am absolutely besotted by this bike. The first thing, that got me hooked on it, was the sound of that cross plane engine. I love it and the mid range acceleration is great and so easy to obtain, in any gear. If you haven't had a go on one, borrow a demonstrator, but, the standard seat is not good, hence I've got the comfort seat. You mentioned about the Suzuki 750 and how it felt. I agree about 4 cylinder 600s and 750s, they all feel a bit lacking to me. I used to drag race an 1170cc turbo Honda CBX 40 years ago, until I realised it was a money pit, into which I was getting nearer and nearer to the edge, so I flogged it. I now have a very different collection of all types of bikes covering the last 99 years(since they were made, not me), but the MT10 still gives me a thrill, that few bikes do. It's due to that magnificent engine and the sound it makes and the feel.

Tried to watch this but couldn't manage much of it at all.
A true enthusiast with a very colorful collection of bikes.
hi henry very nice! your collection is a work of art apart from the cub!!!

Dean Gentles I would love to get another cub, they were the Tonka trucks of bikes, unbreakable.most the time I could pretty much fix them with third world tools, the main one being a hammer.
Loved the tv series. Henry is so natural n down to earth it is gr8 to hear the stories of amazing places like Africa. Cool bikes!

Love the programmes you’ve made and I love the street fighter...you selling it? Throw me a number for it.😎
There’s a lot of negative comments on here but Henry likes bikes and what’s up with that.Sounds like some people on here are just plain jealous.👍🌹🇬🇧

Hello Henry! I would like to invite you for a trip to Serra da Arrábida In Setúbal Portugal! Wonderfull view and road! Say something If interesterd! Cheers!
He was born in 1964 have got this from company records. Not sure why this is a secret
I actually like his programmes, in fact I actuallly like him. Without him there'd be zero motorbike shows on the box. What I can't stand is his inflection in his voice, the rise and fall of his speech, aarrgghh. He sounds like he's explaining stuff to a 3 year old, why ? It's more evident when he's doing a voice over "off camera", fuck me its annoying.
I talk to my bikes...that's OK isn't it?

no he's just a total plonker.and has not got a clue about bikes.
The show is OK but a bit too much schtik of tea in hand, mugging at camera going mmmMMM !!??? It gets a bit tiring.Other than that its ok. Just.
WITHOUT ALAN, MILLYARD/ SAM LOVEGROVE AND SKID. THERE WOULDNT BE A PROGRAM.. SORRY JUST CHUCKING MY 2d IN
Come on Henry how many have you picked up compliments of find it,fix it,flog it ?tell us all the truth !!!!!
Spot-the-difference between Cole and Sam or Milly... Sam + Milly spend hundreds of hours in oily workshop's creating works of art... Cole trolls facebay for some mug punter who will be so desperate for his 15 minutes of fame as to endure his "patter" and be ripped off...
Choppers are horrible and belt drive choppers are lame for sure. But those others look nice and dolled up gixxer motor bike looks great.
Real choppers have shovel or pan engines

I don’t mind the programmes but I can’t stand the whiny tones of his voice
He is on TV every day of the week but has such a small following. power. money privilege . and he knows NOTHING ABOUT BIKES (CAR DRIVER)
Henry should you not be making a lamp or a bench pathetic
