When Tom thanks the interviewer for recognizing his hard work (climbing up the rope twice) and says the interviewer is the first to ask, to me it really shows that no matter how advanced one can still use the recognition and encouragement.

I think it's the fact that he's been in the DCEU franchise longer than other cast. Must be hard dealing with the pressures of studio interference, and ended up with a butchered movie (and SUPERMAN!) and a huge backlash by critics. Plus, the guilt of not delivering what should be to the fans. Just my opinion.

If he didnt produce his own movie he woudnt even be able to do those stunts in the first place. Usually the producers and insurance wont allow extreme stunts cuz if the actor dies theres no movie and no returns for the investment.

Mac Sumait I can't get my head around that idea, they both play the good guy so well but I think for that very reason you are probably right!/ Jackie would have to be able to walk away, no, jump, punch, fly, sprint, box, sumo, away as some sort of reformed character though.

I remember thinking watching this movie and watching Tom do these stunts,"Well I Know I Would've Heard About It If Tom Hadn't Survived The Movie" I do remember that he was injured during a stunt in which he leapt from 1 building to another. Broke or fractured his ankle, I think..or foot

vm brister~Yup. He broke his ankle and had to take about 6-9 months break to heal. Tom cruise is the consummate professional. He's so dedicated and loves his job, and it shows. Not alot of actors or actress like him around these days whom works this hard and gives 100% for their audience enjoyment.

Much to the irritation of the crew. I know people who worked on it and they were pissed off about it. Not taking anything away from Tom, I like his dedication but there is another perspective to his determination to do all the stunts. It just production to a halt for that period with people having to find other work.
