It’s not a coincidence. Bullies don’t attack people that fight back. If you’re a nice, chill person, weak minded people will see you as a target, because they think they can trash you and get away with it. Now, why trashing people makes some people feel good, I’ll never really understand that. I can only assume they have a lack of self esteem and it makes them feel better about themselves if they can try to bring others down to “their level”.

I just dont understand why does Hollywood hire writers that are brag about not knowing source material... Examples on top of my head: 1) Halo tv show writers admitted they never played Halo 2) Former Xmen the animated series writer joined the writing staff for Witcher for an episode or 2, and said that the other writers and producers were mocking the original source material.

Peter Jackson was a huge fan of Lord of the Rings, those movies were exceptional. Kevin Feige is a huge fan of Marvel comics, the MCU has been the most successful movie series in the history of cinema. I’m not sure who’s making the new Last of Us TV show, but you can tell they must be fans of the source material because of how well it was made.

First and foremost due to basic manners, and second, you never know when the receptionist will be a big shot producer, whether some extra becomes the next big actor, or whether the PA of a shoot becomes some studio owner a decade or so in the future. People may not always remember those who were nice to them, but they always remember the ones who made them feel like shit.

  • @Mordring

I actually low-key experienced it over a decade ago. Nothing big or serious but I was part of a fantasy-themed online fan-club in my early 20s. I was relatively new at that time and some "veterans" were outright dicks both to me and to other people in the club I cared about (a girl I liked, a 15yo kid who was sort of my apprentice in the club structure, an older, kind dude who never sought to confront anyone, a guy who introduced me into the club, etc.). And I'm not talking about some light mockery. That I'm perfectly fine with. They actually told a guy with depression (the one who introduced me) things like "just go and off yourself already" amongst other, similarly cruel things. But they were tolerated as they did some club-related heavy lifting for the backbone-lacking President. At some point the VP whom I was on good terms with resigned and out of the blue chose me for his successor. It coincided with the President taking a break due to private reasons so for a while I was the only man in charge. I'd love to say I was a better man but I wasn't. I was petty and vengeful towards those "veterans". Their ideas were meticulously analysed and every mistake ruthlessly pointed out. Their posts were censored for the slightest rudeness towards anyone. They were deliberately omitted in every advancement opportunity. Eventually one of them outright asked me "why are you targetting us like that all the time?". My response: "karma is a bitch, ain't it?". Now that was a silly fanclub of no true importance or consequence, but just imagine the same thing where the guy you bullied has the final say on whether you finally get the career making part in a beloved franchise or keep being an unrecognisable extra in C-tier direct-to-videos.

Based on my research there has been no conviction of anything illegal. He's definitely a slimy dude, and has admitted to sleeping with his female students, which could have been exploitative depending on the situation. But so far he's been proven to be just a sex-addicted dude, who has been destroyed by accusations made by former partners. I don't agree with the way he is, but I also don't agree with putting him in the same category as convicted sex criminals, because he isn't.

@@AstroBimpson to be fair you can't always prove it in court when it it comes to these allegations. Its he said she said there's been people who were found guilty but were innocent & ppl that got found innocent & were guilty. The thing is in these cases the person comes out months even years later so its hard to prove guilty. Since any evidence like DNA is gone or signs of being forced. A guy whether its true or not can say it was consensual & its hard to prove either way without evidence. For example I've seen 1 case where a preteen girl accused her step dad of s.a but he denied it & blamed it on her acting out because he was strict. They believed him & let it go only now the guy felt invincible & it went from sa to the r word she ends up getting pregnant & the kid turns out to be his thats how they find out it was true. In a similar case the same thing happened only this time when she got pregnant the dad killed her when they finally found the body they did a DNA test on the fetus & it was his. In another case the girl accused a guy she met at a bar but because people had seen them be flirty & even kissing at the bar he got found innocent but was guilty only for him to do it again to another girl only this time he got caught in the act. Then there's the opposite side of it like the wrestler Enzo Amore he got accused & ended up getting fired from WWE without proof or being found guilty only for evidence & witnesses including the girl's BFF saying she had said she wanted it.

Yeah it’s incredibly difficult to prove SA in court, that’s why most women don’t even file charges. In my opinion, when someone has several accusers who all have similar stories, that increases the chances they’re telling the truth. I understand that some women will make these types of accusations to try to extort famous men, but it seems less likely that multiple of them would all try that at the same time, and that they would all come up with similar stories on their own.

Funny.. Henry Cavil is one of the best and most revered superman actors since Christopher Reeve.. NOT and easy feat to achieve. That says a lot about Henry. The fact that Franco was such an ass to a then unknown was not only wrong, but downright mean and you should NEVER judge a book by its cover. The fact that he is remorseful years later just tells me that he isn’t really sorry at all, just a way to kiss ass.
