For those who want more written detail, I wrote the following up on watching the video and adding to the text. If anyone sees an error, please let me know. I think she said "salted butter" but was not sure. Hope y'all find this useful! 3 cups white sugar 5 eggs 1 16-oz can of crushed pineapple with juice. 1 cup heavy cream or milk 1 t. kosher salt 3 sticks of softened (salted?) butter. 2 sticks melted butter for Hennessy butter. 2 cups brown sugar (packed into the cup, then pour out and crumble. ¾ cups or MORE (up to you!) of whiskey or henny. You do not have to add liquor. You can simply use juice from the pineapple rings. 1 can of sliced pineapple rings. Spray Bundt can with Pam and add your Hennessy butter. Stir around a little. Place (sliced) pineapples atop batter, broken Let cake cool 10 min in the Bundt pan. Flip onto plate and let cake cool for 1 hour.

Danni Rose reminds me so much of my cousin who was supposed to help me open up my restaurant in 2021. However God had other plans. He called my cousin home too soon in 2020. I am ever so devastated. I just wanna say... I took this cake to my friend’s Diner (a predominately Caucasian establishment) and let me tell you... the staff was eating 🍽 all up, then the customers wanted in!!! Everyone thanked me for a delicious 🤤 pineapple butter rum cake! “Moist and Delicious” was all I heard!! Many, many, compliments! I used Antigua English Harbour 5 years aged rum; instead of Hennessy! Hey, girlfriend, I made the cake yesterday. My grandchildren 2 and 6 year olds helped me. I didn't use the alcohol but my cake came out buttery with all that sugar rich topping. The cake had s rich buttery taste to it, especially the crisp with the sugar and butter. I'm taking lunch late. Later on am gonna have me some with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I'm from Trinidad and Tobago, in the Caribbean. You know nowadays I think people get offended way too easy. Actually I think they're looking to get offended. You know I think my mom would have ended everybody but she meant nothing by what she was saying she was a large and in charge Choctaw woman (and we love that about her) that would say girl when she talk to her friends and describe people as how she remembered them. And she wasn't being racist whatsoever. Then she would make you sit down and eat no matter who you were because everybody was just too skinny they needed something to eat. I made this cake twice. The first time, it didn't set well. I even baked it for 30 minutes longer. The second time, I strained the crushed pineapples and added about 3/4 of them without the juice. I baked it for 1 hr 25minutes and it's perfect! Hope this helps out anyone else that may have had the same issue as me 💙💙

Thank you. I tried it and I think that the juice needed to be drained first. I had to put it back in the oven. The cake slid right out, then came the juice and butter. All that I could do was put it back in the bundt pan. I am not wasting my Henny. Lol I will try it your way. Makes more sense for my bundt pan. In the meantime. I am still eating it once it comes out. It was just to much juice

Ok. Even with my poor crippled hands I think I can do this. Love the way you keep it simple, and adding alittle background with story's of your mothers Bunt Pan. Often we tend to believe we need all new stuff but I love passing down Tryed True dishes. I love to talk out loud to myself so being on my small 1 room suite alone is nothing new or a hardship. I really liked how you put crushed pineapple into the batter so you get some with each mouthful. And I bet that Rum " I think that's what u used" but haven't had anyone on my family of cooks use it in with this cake and also that bit of heavy cream. I would have used a nice whipping cream using the rum instead of vanilla extract to drop alittle on top, or a small scoop of ice cream, YUMMY. THX FOR SHARING YOYR YOUR RECIPE AND FOR KEEPING IT LIGHT AND WITH HUMOR. 🤗🤗👏👏👏👍👍🍍🍍.

I’d been waiting to make this cake and just made it this thanksgiving. It was an instant hit!

So I caught this vid 2days before my grandfather passed. He was the king of pound cakes. I picked up the ingredients and put it all together. It's in the oven now! I hope I can carry on his tradition with this pineapple and brown sugar twist!! Your comedic prowess brought me much joy during this time of mourning Thank you

I only go to the store once every two weeks for my family and I am out every day for my job risking it all to make sure that students and their families have food everyday while they can't provide for themselves during this pandemic. So I pray daily that I and the people working with or around me stay safe.

Me and my daughter made this on Sunday...SO GOOD! Question my cake pan was full UP TO THE TOP! I have the identical pan. Is that the reason why the cake was more "creamy" and less "cakey". It baked for an hour and a half.

I noticed she didn’t use vanilla or any flavoring and no baking powder! Is that correct? I’m still learning to bake and before I invest all of my rich Irish butter, I want to be certain I’m doing the recipe correct! I love her!! She makes me want to eat all day every day everything she makes 🤣

@@roslynweems550 Yes! You don't need those ingredients. Trust me the ingredients here gives all the flavor. Remember its a pound cake so its very dense and YUMMY!

Girl you have me in the kitchen RIGHT now making this cake. Thank goodness I have most of the necessary ingredients but I don’t have enough brown sugar and I’m not about to go out to the store so we will spread that melanin sugar out and we gonna make it do what it do! Ebony Gordon - This cake is amazing. I mistakenly used a box yellow MOIST cake mix batter. The cake cooked on the outside but did not fully cook all the way on the inside it was WAY too moist. This was NOT due to Stove Top Kisses recipe. I should have followed her recipe to the tee and used the proper box cake or started from scratch. Even with my own mistake this cake on the outside was delicious! I am going to make this again following exactly the way Stove Top Kisses says. Because if my cake on the outside tasted this yummy I can imagine what a fully cooked cake would taste like. I did upload a picture of my cake on my IG page. Thanks again for this wonderful recipe!

Same for me.. But I followed the recipe pretty much to a T.. I just mixed all of my dry ingredients first then added them little by little to the batter with my we ingredients.. It tasted great but was way too moist and doughy tasting. I'm willing to try it again just as she said and hope for the best

I did it with grand mariner (the store was out of henny) and it was DEVINE!!!! Luxurious, decadent, moist, aromatic and I gained back every pound.

This recipe reminds me of the rum cake one of my friends brought back from the Cayman islands. It was so saturated with rum that once piece got me buzzed lol.

I never knew what an upside down pineapple cake was until last year when I ordered it at a random bakery by chance and loved it! Well the second time I bought it it wasn’t as good or as moist. Now I can try making it myself! I could almost taste the memory of it in my mouth 😄🤤
