It isn't a Henglong if it doesn't need constant repairs and upgrades, stared with them 13 years ago, they brought me to the tank world to their credit

This is one of the reasons why I prefer a clamping solution for my home-made smokers, in which the heating resistor wires are simply clamped and can be easily released so that the resistor can be easily replaced.

I had same issue with my henglong king tiger, in the end I just took it out and replaced with a metal smoke unit, it works so well, looks amazing, and you get a great flow from each exhaust

Would you have a link to a metal smoke unit? I'm just getting started learning about a system like this for my rocket project to simulate the gassing off of liquid oxygen while the vehicle is on the launch pad.

my second time seeing your video and I thought I better say something… Thank you so much. We appreciate you taking the time to show us inside the smoke unit and the tank. Good catch on the small filament wire. I just got a bulldog tank. Can I ask one simple question how do you find the road wheels apparently there's no ball bearings of any kind plastic on plastic do your tracks stay on well. But thanks for the video appreciate you

I’m having all kinds of problems with mine and I just got it. Brand new. Appreciate the video. I inspected mine and there is a red wire coming out of the middle of the unit of the bottom haul and it looks cut, the only thing I can think is it’s a antenna or something cause I don’t see any other wires that look like it was connected or where it went but why would it be a antenna that doesn’t make sense but there is zero chance that I did something in the twenty minutes I played with it that would cause I wore on the inside to be cut cleanly. Very strange. I got the first one and the smoke didn’t work I returned it they refused a refund and said it was used, complete bs, unknown to me I thought it got exchanged but my grandmother just bought another one all together and so I got it and now the gun isn’t working it worked for about 15 shots and the smoke worked once that’s it. I realized when I told her that it needed to be returned also that they weren’t a decent company about it I decided to take a look inside myself after watching some YT videos and makes no sense why that wire is cut like that? Also they better send back that other tank since almost 600$ they got.!!! Seriously 278$ each with metal tracks and all that jazz. What a rip off i fee like at this point. I think they look sooo cool but very very disappointed right now. I’d never recommended one to somebody but maybe I can get this rectified. Sorry for the vent on your post do you have any idea what that wire is or any advice on how to address them? Thanks I’m advance

Sorry to hear your having so many problems. The antenna wire on mine is a black wire coming out of the control box about 25mm long. The smoke unit is either to much fluid or a bad connection. The gun you'll have to check the wires for a brake/ bad connection. If you can return it do that

My exhausts are plastic and ive bought metal ones are they easy to change

I would also recommend using a better quality smoke distillate. The water thin stuff that is sold with the tanks is absolutely crap. Try Graupner/Seuthe or Megasteam

I do have a different type of smoke fluid but it does smell a little like deisel and the missus has a right moan about it 😏

What type of smoke oil do you use in that? Bought one for a rc truck I'm working on.

Hi I did buy some JT's Mega-Steam smoke fluid for my first tiger which was meant to be (no scent) but it does have a engine type smell. Which the missus did moan about. The king tiger did come with fluid which smells better but a bit sickly after a while, but the bottle doesn't have a make. Megasteam.com give it a try

What about the pump. I just purchased for Xmas and I’ve had it for less than a week. The king tiger and the smoke never worked but I could hear the pump working. But now it doesn’t even sound like it’s coming on anymore. Idk what to do it was 400$ and already doesn’t seem to work. The instruction were terrible I had to watch yt videos on its and finding mine I never did but I was able to. Figure it out. Thank you I may pull it apart I need to just get a new one already cause I shouldn’t have to mess with it like this. Is it okay to turn them upside down? What if I spilt someone the aerosol and it shorted something I don’t understand how but I’m trying to understand

Hi I guess your having trouble with the smoke unit. The wire's have probably broken off,they are very small check them first they might look like they are attached give them a wiggle. You only need a small amount of smoke fluid or it won't work, dry the wading out and give it a go. Don't be afraid it's only 12 volts it won't hurt you just try and not touching 2 wire's together

I have this tank but idk which version it is. There any way to tell if it has metal gears or not? I just bought it and it doesn’t say on the box

Hi when I bought this version I paid for upgraded metal running gears and tracks, I can't remember if it came with upgraded gearboxes I afraid. I think they all have metal gears it's just the quality of the gears, my first tiger's gear's had worn that had the cheap standard gears . Not much help sorry

Are you talking about the gears in the gearbox or the wheels, I'm sure they don't put plastic gear's in the gearbox and you can tell if the running wheels are plastic by the weight

Loose the Blower motor altogether, replace with 25mm brushless fan

Have you checked inside on the main control board that all the connections are pushed in properly, I'd check there first might be the speaker connection

Only other thing I can think of did you cycle through the volume as it gets to the highest volume it turns off before it goes back to the lowest setting. 🤔
