Hemp - from catch crop to textile

In winter, catch crops protect the soil and water of agricultural areas and leave particularly good conditions for further crops. During their cultivation, hemp forms fine fibers that can be processed into textiles. In the EIP project, the cultivation, harvesting and processing of winter hemp were tested. Farmers have an additional income by selling the hemp and the processing of local fibers meets the need for sustainable textile production.
