Hematopoiesis | Hematologic System Diseases | NCLEX-RN | Khan Academy

Hematopoiesis is the process of creating new blood cells in the body. All blood cells start off as hematopoietic stem cells, and then specialize (differentiate) into myeloid cells (erythrocytes, megakaryocytes, monocytes, neutrophils, basophils, or eosinophils) or lymphoid cells (T-lymphocytes and B-lymphocytes). Created by Nauroz Syed.

Red marrow is found in the epiphysis (ends of bone) not in the medullary cavity (center). The medullary cavity contains the yellow marrow.

You are right but isn’t the case different in enfants and children whose bone haven’t matured yet as in you can find red marrow in the medullary cavity of children and enfants. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

wow, well done! the only place that was able to breakdown the word hematopoetic so thoroughly and perfectly! this was great! i feel like ya'll should go into turning your teaching videos into mini cartoon short films that dumbs it down even further for much younger group of folks. this is better then taking classes at any university!
