Hematopoiesis | Hematologic System Diseases | NCLEX-RN | Khan Academy
Hematopoiesis is the process of creating new blood cells in the body. All blood cells start off as hematopoietic stem cells, and then specialize (differentiate) into myeloid cells (erythrocytes, megakaryocytes, monocytes, neutrophils, basophils, or eosinophils) or lymphoid cells (T-lymphocytes and B-lymphocytes). Red marrow is found in the epiphysis (ends of bone) not in the medullary cavity (center). The medullary cavity contains the yellow marrow.

You are right but isn’t the case different in enfants and children whose bone haven’t matured yet as in you can find red marrow in the medullary cavity of children and enfants. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

wow, well done! the only place that was able to breakdown the word hematopoetic so thoroughly and perfectly! this was great! i feel like ya'll should go into turning your teaching videos into mini cartoon short films that dumbs it down even further for much younger group of folks. this is better then taking classes at any university!
One of the most simplest yet amazing videos out there.

Monocytes, do not have always a kidney shaped nucleous they are more like irregular and with no defined form. The cell that has a kidney shaped nucleous is called metamyelocyte
As a holistic overview this is okay but the lack of detail is frustrating.
dats cool
I loved the lecture. But I need a detailed one😔😔

It wasn't detailed enough..just basics wouldn't help
Good lecture but kinda lacks details!
is "pluripotential stem cells" just another name for hematopoietic stem cells????? my book says pluripotential stem cells or also known as "hemocytoblasts." But doesn't mention the name hematopoietic as you had written on here.

Question: Eosinophils are red because the dye used to identify them (eosin) is brick red??? Am I wrong here?
@arnisbirze1724
Жыл бұрын
They are "eosin loving" or by other words, the name is made by their characteristic ability to be stained by acidic dyes, one of which and the most popular is eosin.
you did not talk about the basic process
💖💖
'In science we never use the plain and ordinary name.' 🤔
should've let a Clinical Laboratory Scientist / Medical Technologist give the lesson
This has nothing to do with hematologic system diseases though
😘
Not trying to be rude but the video is called hematopoiesis and all that was talked was talked was the final stages of the blood cells. Feels like a clickbait!
did she actually told scary Greek word hematopoiesis lol

You haven't detail the process of haemopoiesis! You are talking too much and and can't understand your lecture.
So so disappointing...
please stop saying the words you're writing over and over as you write them "myeloid, mmyyyeellooiiddd group, myeloid" its incredibly annoying...
