Helsinki is the capital of Finland, located on the Gulf of Finland. Founded in 1550, it has a population of about 656,000. Helsinki is a favourite in Scandinavia for visits also thanks to ferry connections around the Baltics. The city is mostly known for its neoclassical architecture, especially in Senate Square, where we start our walk.
Finland is ranked high a happy country. On our tour around sunny Helsinki we see a large part of the city center with plenty of weekend events happening today. Thanks to the sunny weather many people are out for a lively and fun atmosphere. Late we even pass Helsinki's University, which was established in 1640 before we end our tour at the Helsinki main train station.
