In Maryland we have to use 2" for showers. I see u dry fitted first. Ever mess up? I refuse to dry fit. Had a helper who dryfitted cpvc... What a mess that was...

1 1/2" is fine here. Haven't messed up so far, but I also don't do much plumbing.

Showers must be 2" here in allegheny County. 1-1/2" for tubs or shower/tubs. Allegheny County has the top three strictest plumbing codes in the country.
