Help for parents and carers of Autistic children.
When I started my journey as a mum, teaching myself about Autism, there were moments when I felt a little lost and lonely. It wasn't easy for me and at that time I wished I had someone to help guide me. I've spent more than a decade learning and researching what works and what doesn't for my Autistic son, Dylan, and I would like to keep sharing more videos with you all, but also take it one step further!
Watch this week's video to find out more.

You make everything look so easy, but I know how much pain you have been through and how hard this journey has been! You’ve never given up, never ever! You’re amazing ❤

@@autismblessing486 Maybe wake up more slowly? Oftentimes waking up can be overwhelming: sudden light + noises + hunger + + + (Tara also talked about this in another video a while back.) So having a fixed routine that is catering to his or her needs and goes at his pace is my best idea - as his parent you know best what his or her needs are. :)

Hi there if you go to www. Cominghometoautism.com all info is on there x
I want to say something but I am very mindful that it may be hurtful, which is not my intention and I apologise in advance if this is ignorant as I have not seen all of your videos, thus could be making an assumption but I do feel so strongly about this so here it goes: why don’t you dedicate your channel to neurodiversity? Why is the channel not dedicated to understanding your middle child’s needs to the same extent? Having been diagnosed with ADHD in adulthood, I am only scraping the surface of how complex this disorder is and how much could have been done in childhood to improve my life as an adult. In the last 3 months, new research has linked ADHD to childhood trauma as opposed to (epi)genetics, as previously thought. There is a great summary on ADDitude podcast by Dr J Nigg, Dec 2022. What I am saying is that your attention, personal drive and motivation seem to be pinned to autism, and more precisely- your older son. Your younger son and daughter need you just as much, if not more at this point. ADHD is a very complex disorder and there are a lot of things you can do now to change the course of your younger son’s quality of life now and in the future. You are doing a wonderful job with raising your kids and managing very complex life situations. I want you to know that I have a lot of respect your dedication to caring for your family also. You don’t need to listen to anyone’s advice or suggestions. You know your family best. I just needed to say it for my own sense of peace, acknowledging that I am only seeing a tiny sliver of your actual life.
Bravoooo👏👏👏❤️
