I love how you tell him to pay attention. I have a feeling if he could talk it would be a bit like this! "Pay attention!" "Pay attention to what? Oh SHIT! There's a jump!"

Your commentary had me dying 😂
Elisa, having just been told by my spinal surgeon I will never ride again, I want you to know that I get the most vicarious pleasure watching your videos. You talk to your horses the way I talked to Bongo on a competitive distance ride. Or just a long days trail outing. I adore Johnny but I have a real soft spot for Lear. I see he doesn't like logs. Neither did Bongo. Always convinced there was a mountain lion crouched behind it. Anyhow, I live here in West Palm Beach right next door to Wellington. I don't even visit with horses anymore....Too much like an alky walking into a bar...but I visit your Web site often. Your personal involvement with all your horses makes you my number one favorite rider, in all disciplines. We have a lot of people who ride here in Wellington but they take a saddled groomed horse out into the ring. They don't clean barns or do much of anything except ride a well trained animal. You have a mentality and work ethic with your horses that I admire greatly. Thank you. May your path be free of woe. Or as I always like to close Happy Trails to You.

Debra im so sorry to hear about your situation! and small world I live right here in west palm as well! My difference is I have chronic lyme disease, and not very much money so when I work in wellington and see all of the people riding I am heart brokenly jealous because I cant afford to ride all of the time, and most of the time my body wont allow it but i havent given up, what i would give to show jump again..I love watching videos like this because I miss riding so much, I hope you are ok, be well
"Jesus Christ.....THE LOGGG!" 😂😂😂
The best part is your commentary😂😂😂
Wow. I never understood exactly how much work and mental attention it takes to jump... great video!

Loved this! I have to admit I laughed at the concerned look at the white jump wings and poles. SUCH SPOOK
I love how you speak to your horse and reusure him
You sound like me “Jesus Christ it’s just a (insert object they are spooking at)!” Love the new Go Pro!
I am glad to know I am not the only one who has this exact conversation with my horse during x-c. Hahaha! So fun to watch, I love your bridle by the way!
That was dramatic! ☺ Just as well a horse-flesh eating plastic bag didn't come out of nowhere and devour you both. Or worse still- a stationary wheel barrow. Those things will eat a young horse in seconds. 😂 Great vid! This new camera is awesome.
Me: A trailer isn't gonna come and eat you. Lear: I think ur wrong hooman
I like the way she's talking to her horse to keep him focused!😂👍🏽👍🏽💕🐴 others would've just slapped their horse!:(

I can’t tell you how much I adore hearing you talk to the horses. I do it and people think I’m insane! What an interesting ride he took you on there.
I️ admire how you talk to your horse in a supportive way even if it’s not doing something they’re supposed to. Not a lot of rider I️ know do that 🤗
Your horse seems like a big kid having fun. (Maybe too much fun? 😜) great job and great ride!! 💕
Oh I love Lear....that was such an effort over the first jump 😂😂
Oh my god, the terrain is so big and there are so many jumps, how do you know which ones to take in what order? I ride too, but I've never done cross country because there are no parcourses near where I live so I can only jump a fallen tree every so often😂, it looks so fun!

Violet when yo do the course you walk it before and the jumps have a specific colour on the number that is on the jump. Like in this video she is following black with white numbers

Violet it goes in numeral order from different height if you get even its regular/tallish if you get odd, it’s really tall
I legit love how you’re constantly reassuring your horses!!
He seems a bit cheeky to ride XC like you really have to keep his mind focused. Just like my boy is to ride XC (once he locks on to each jump he is like a bullet train but it's between the fences that he is hard to manage sometimes). Do you have any tips for keeping them focused?

Grand Pegasi Equestrian talk to him and make him look at where he is going and in practice do half halts and Activities that keep him alert so that eventually he will think something is going to happen so he focuses on you

Try shortening your reins a bit. Some horses like to be told what to do a lot.
Thank you for the ride!! When I was younger I thought I'd like to do some easy cross country. Never happened, but now I'm "riding" with you!!!!
I love her talking through it
I love how calm you are with your horse 💜
Lear! Hes stepping up a notch! Faster on his feet, such a funny horse.
He has come a long way for a youngster . Great ride.
Lear was following his own plan that day it looks like! What a funny boy he is!!
This is the only time I have ever heard you so out if breath, you sure had to work hard for your dollar today Elisa, but I loved how you constantly encouraged forward thinking on his behalf as this is the only way they learn and grow 💕
This was incredibly well ridden. I loved your commentary and his spooking at white fences yet jumps everything you Aim him at 😂
my horse would freak out at the trailer! He handled it well! You are such a good rider and i love your vids!
Your horse is a very very beautiful!!
He is lovely and you rode him beautifully.
You stay so calm and matter of fact! That’s exactly what a unsure/nervous/distracted horse needs. He is a beauty and def a skilled jumper, just like very “OOOO PIECE OF CANDY!” 😁 in this ride. Family Guy reference for those who are like “wtf is this b*tch saying..”
Awesome job! Lear did a great job for you! You are amazing
This is awesome to watch!!! Keep it going, you and your horse are great!💖🐴
loved your distances and even ride. well done
Thank you for posting this video. Thank you so much. I really enjoyed this.
Lear is absolutely gorgeous 💜💜
They way he angles his neck when he jumps 🤤😍
He is SO beautiful!
This was too cute!! Nice job with this ride!!
i love him. i love him so so much
Some spooky things🙀 and jumps them brilliant . Great when you speak to them 👏🏻👏🏻
He reminds me of my boy Night he has the same ear markings too.I always have to attempt to keep his mind as focused as possible.I also dubbed straight away!Awsome!
thank you for that! Nice the way you kept your horse focused.
this was so smooth. wow
Awesome job!!
Lears Like “OMG we’re going cross country!!!! Time to go crazy!!”
I like how you talk d o him and motivated him every time after a jump.
And for people that think riding horses isn't a form of exercise you can tell by her breathing just how active a rider really is. She doing good with his training it shouldn't be long and he won't notice the stuff to the sides of his path. Well done Lear
I loved him how you tell him he has to pay attention.😊
😂 My horse needs to think slower...way slower❤️ great ride! I'm hope to do this with my OTTB mare I think we would both love it.
Your horse is so relaxed 😍
Some times I do think my horse is drunk Edit: even better my horse is super fast so it's like a drunk flash
Where's my six?👍
There's 4 but where the freak is my 6 😂 sums up my life
i like this horse! he seems a bit challenging, but he will definitely go far
Seems a little unfocused on the course...good job at talking to him and keeping him focused the whole time
So well ridden!
How do the judges see the whole course? I'm sorry if I sound dumb but I only really do hunter and a little bit of jumper lmao.

"The trailer's not gonna eat you" Ah, I love horses
“wHeRe ThE fReAk Is My SiX?” I love it lol
When he spooked at the log you sounded like me today 😹. I had a lesson and I was waiting for my turn and the pony I was in was sniffing my friends coat, he bit it and spooked and I just well kinda yelled kinda didn’t bc yeah “JESUS!” 😹😹
I connect with this video on a spiritual level 😂
You guys are looking soooo good ❤️❤️
“Your ok, the trailer isn’t gonna eat you” 😂😂
"Jesus Christ, a LOG!" that got me 😂🤣
Wow ai think this horse is brave and very fast. I like him. That's a nice bridle you have hat comfort crown. Nice horse
Omg he is actually so cute i love when he would just swing his head up (my new crush 🥰)
Love his top line muscle!!
Does he pull you forward over jumps? He kind of looks like he does. I don't know everything about horses so correct me if I'm wrong. It's just his neck is lowered over jumps, which I am similar to. If he does I have a horse that hurls over jumps and yanks me with him, I was wondering if you could give me some advice because If I don't learn how to deal with this I feel as if I'll go nowhere on him. He is an ex-eventer so he thinks it's okay to rush over jumps and he is extremely head-strong, I'm usually successful in slowing him down but he often takes off with me, hurls himself over the jump and yanks me forward with the reins. I often land horribly and begin to bounce around in the saddle, group rides are usually the only option for me, so afterwards I'll run up another horse's bum (which I know is extremely dangerous, I try not to :I) trying to get myself back. I would greatly appreciate advise if you experiance the same thing with your own :D
@WallaceEventing

Snazzy Azzy no he does not pull me forward. He has a very round jump and bascule. The key is to never catch your horse in the face, so u might need to grab mane and make sure you are not punishing him. Often times this is what causes horses to rush fences. Doing poll work and grids and working on your balance as well as working on a horses flat work also helps there Ride ability to the fences. But I always make sure when my horse makes an effort to jump that I’m completely out of their way, whether that means grabbing mane or sometimes people may use a jumping strap. Also having good core muscles help with balance and position.

Thank you so much for replying so quickly. I completely forgot about the hold on to the mane rule! I have such an incompetent memory but asides from that thank you so much for your advice! I don't know what I'd do without all these wise people teaching me something new every day. Your advice is greatly appreciated! I wish you good luck in any future events you'll be participating in. Have a wonderful day (Or night). :)
I love you "Lear lear lear lear dont be silly"
Hmm, a bit more lively than your usual horse, but he’s beautiful! I hope he learns how to pay attention! Love you
So cool 😍🙈 Your coments tho😂😂❤️
Wow these horses have incredible stamina
Elisa:”The trailers not going to eat you” Lear:” um are you sure about that?”
Btw you r very good at horse riding
Lol, he is so funny!! He decided he wanted to do it his way a few times!!🌹
"Lear the trailer is not going to eat you!" Lear:"Um Idk about that!"
You 2 did a good job! I never saw this horse in a video before, is he new?🤔
My girl is just like this! She acts drunk and she doesn’t pay attention a lot 😂 (But sometimes she’s a good girl)
excited boy is excited.
Reminds me of my TB Brego 😂 he’s so unfocused when jumping
‘’Oh god... *THE LOG* ’’ 😂😂
"the trailer is not gonna eat you" 😂
I wish i had a horse 😣😣😣
