every girl I have ever loved has either left/cheated on me or never had the same feelings for me. So this song speaks to me on many levels. I always try my best to be nice to everyone and understand. I am about to get out of the Army after serving for over 7 years. It takes a lot for me to put on the fake front of being tough and keeping on. I hope maybe things will be different and some woman will love me back someday. But dealing with depression and the thoughts of not being needed/wanted by anyone also plague me. I don't think I could ever kill myself, but I often go to bed wishing I would never wake up, because the lack of any love in my life makes life not worth living.

I connect to this after being heart broken from a female friend that I thought had heart.

Try being 30 after being homeless, having been a drug addict, alcoholic, pill junkie, suicide 3 times, car repossessed 2 times, sued 3 times, left twice, cheated on every relationship, abused by parents, locked in a trailer with lock and chain for 3 months with only beans to eat, molested, and eating out of the garbage can to survive. Jeff Kurtz this song has a dark depressing feel to it, which is why I love it. I have a great relationship. My problem is that I’m afraid that one day I will lose her and never feel love again. I’ve always been numb to emotions, and this song reminds me that there is still something inside me that can feel the pain that makes us human.
