Probably the third time now I’ve seen a portrayal of heaven as a Fascist or semi Fascist paradise. Makes you wonder lol

In modern culture, heaven most of the time is portrayed evil. That's because of the definition of heaven. To get there, you should be a perfect brainwashed sheep that will follow its leader no matter what. Also Bible, especially the Old Testament, supports fascism, racism, sexism and homophobia. And it all is a lie, since modern science disproved every single thing that was written in this book. No wonder heaven gets portrayed evil.

What? Since when is military garb associated with fascism? Vanripper, the creator, went with the idea of the Archangel being in military dress as a representation of the discipline of the angels.

@@wdeltag What modern culture are you referring to? Haven’t seen a single piece of media which depicts it negatively. It seems you have a very poor understanding of religion. The common idea of Heaven is generally the Christian version. In it one needs to commit few or no sins throughout their lives and have repented or made up for any they have committed. Essentially “don’t be a bad person”, some include that you need to also be pious and attend church regularly but thats generally seen more as a bonus rather than requirement. Not committing crimes and evil acts makes you a brainwashed sheep apparently. Have you read the Old Testament or do you only know of it through facebook images? How can an ancient tome support Fascism, a concept that was created in the 20th Century. Literally thousands of years after said book was made. More importantly, what gave you the idea that a religious book that is meant to not only be the stories of the biblical world but also a set of guidelines, somehow supports fascism? I’d like a citation on the sexism and racism as it frequently says that all are equal before God. The homophobia is the one thing you’re right about as it was and has been immensely taboo in nearly every culture and religion in human history, which includes Christianity. Modern science has disproven every part of it? Really? Are you seriously one of those “Omg I love science” fools who don’t know what they’re talking about? You haven’t read a single study on scientific research into the bible, have you? Hell they’ve confirmed the existence of Jesus through Roman record keeping and bureaucracy, listed as every other citizen would be. Additionally, even if you were right about all this. This is the Old Testament. Theres something called the New Testament thats more popular and has more followers. Theres also many sub-sects of Christianity with their own traditions and beliefs. The Big Three being Catholicism, Protestants and the Orthodoxy. What gave you the idea that Heaven was portrayed as evil? And why do you think vanripper is portraying H E A V E N as evil just because O N E angel was wearing military garb?

it's a fun subversion, most pieces of media that are actually christian are more focused on christians than the world that envolves them anyway, so it ends up that when angels are put in something, it ends up that either 1: they're the regular angels, which will get glanced over because they're the usual 2: they're some kind of subversion, which sticks to your head fascist angels are popular because it's an easy way to introduce moral greyness into a story. even the powers that be have flaws when fighting against the demons however, as someone else already said. just because one of them is wearing a military fit with touches of regalia, doesn't mean they're all fascists, so idk, I think I just said a whole lot of garbage
