I am still remembered the very first time that I heard Helloween back in my born country Mexico City in 1985. I couldn't process how these band played so precise with so many unpredictable tempo changes, beautiful harmonics and powerful metal riffs. As before as today, every time I listen Helloween and Gamma, Ray they keep me in the edge of the chair wondering what's coming next. These bands are probably the most under rated bands ever.

Halloween but kai wrote and if you want to be specific kai wrote it when Halloween were called iron fist and piet sielck of iron savior was his co guitarist and did co lead vocals but first power metal song you can find Halloween studio version with kai as lead vocalist on the Halloween album walls of Jericho

Kai didn't consider himself a good live vocalist, and found it difficult to concentrate on playing guitar and singing, so they hired Kiske. It sort of shows here, he wasn't great live in these days. Thankfully his skills improved immensely by the time he started singing lead again in gamma ray.

Disagree slightly kai stopped being lead vocalist then because they were touring a lot and were rushed in the studio to make the keepers albums and his voice was worn out from going from a 2 year cycle of promoting first the mini l.p. and then right back into the studio to record walls of Jericho then right back to touring to at the time of this performance had just come from doing the demos for the keepers albums that is why a few months later he stepped down as frontman and even then he had to sing all of the keepers 1 albums as kiske did not join until the end of December point is kai stopped singing because he did not think his voice would be able to handle the keepers tour cycle similar situation to mettilica and john bush in 1983 unfortunately I think if the record company at the time would have given Helloween more time in the studio I think the keepers 1 album would not have sounded so rushed and kai would have continued to front helloween but to be fair to kiske I think he sounds better then he did back then but Josie did not even back then want to join helloween which explains where the issues with him which are now resolved started also the band wanted Ralph sheeppers of primal fear to front the band but he said no because he was still involved with tyran pace and he wanted to see that band through
