This is just fucking legendary. I remember one of my first days in basic astronomy at the local college. I befriended this awesome metalhead wearing a Blind Guardian shirt.. he saw me wearing an old school Avenged Sevenfold shirt. He told me about Helloween, Gamma Ray, Symphony X etc. This was around 2007. I left class that night and spent at least $300 at the local record store on a bunch of those bands albums. That night I drove up the mountain north of our city just listening to the best music I had ever heard in my life in my badass ‘86 Turbo Nissan 300zx.. digital dash.. T-tops off.. my long hair blowing in the wind. It’s so surreal that it doesn’t even seem real when I reminisce about it. I wish I could talk to that guy in that astronomy class and thank him for changing my life with music. It was just an amazing time in my life with discovering music. Just fucking awesomez

As @Malcolm Reynolds says, Symphony X was the life changing metal band for me (as opposed to Dream Theater which was just life changing). Everyone needs to check out Michael Romeo's (SX guitarist) new album, war of the worlds. It's immense.

My favorite singer ever, his tone, vocal range and phrasing is forever in my heart.

Eagle fly free is one of the few songs that I know that there is solo from all instruments, including the vocal. Sensational, a hymn.

Almost everyone talk about kiske’s amazing voice. Just don’t forget how good dani is, someone must have a prime physical condition and great drumming technique to play the entire song like this

I like Andi Deris more than Michael Kiske

Woke up today after a nap and had this song in my head. I feel like that more often, especially with Helloween songs and I listen to a lot of different artists. They are simply unique with their style, their vocals and the instruments and everyone plays their instrument incredibly well. I'm sure I'll always listen to Helloween until the end.

There are people who live for singing. Maybe, he is one of those people... those who cares about its own voice, taking care of health, eating well, not using drugs... Usualy whe see singers who are not sooo old... but that already have worn out voice by carelessness :/

This is the opening song of the radio program that I conducted in 1993 "The Metal Cript Show" Fuck! 27 years have passed and this song still makes me shiver!!

So... after all these years and all the interviews.... Helloween is officially the first speed metal anthem group. Walls of Jericho has several...Twilight of the Gods is a great one.... But, this is the most iconic. Love it!!!

What a VOICE!!! Even after all those years Kiske still killing it!!!

Kiske is one of the few who still got it! What a voice!!

Incredible! !!! Kiske is incredible awesome!!! Never heard something like this.....Studio quality of a hard song after more than 30 years in a life concert!!!! I have no words!

Nobody will truly understand having to sit there as a seventeen-year-old kid in 2010 watching Helloween videos with Andi Deris thinking God will Kiske ever come back, this was like a dream come true, it's so amazing just to see the right players and then all sudden here Kiskes high voice come out and start singing this great song was such a gasp of fresh air this band really needed this

@@tonim89 I'm not certain. he engaged with the audience more when he was younger.. I'm a big fan but I don't like it when singers turn their back to the audience for long periods of time.. Kiske has that bad habit. Compare the enthusiasm that Deris displays versus Kiske.

@@jussirytkonen2871 watching his performances from the mid-80's (thank god for those people who took good care of those VHS tapes) always amazes me.. he has amazing falsetto - he just sings in that upper range all the time. Many times he is not on pitch but its still impressive. Now I agree with you, he is very careful to hit the notes properly.. sometimes he will slur the words (like in this song) to ensure the notes are correct. Maybe he doesn't have the breath he did 20 years ago but I've heard he started this tour with the flu ... I think it shows a bit in this song - as impressive as it already is. IMHO , Chameleon is my favorite album showcasing his vocals. He could have been a big star in any genre.

Long years of performance? When? He barely toured during the last 25 years, Helloween at the other side has been making 3 shows a week all that time that's why Andy's voice has gotten in such bad shape, listen high live Andy is a much better Singer than kiske, and also his boss kiske is making money for Andy

I am still just as happy as I was three years ago when this tour was announced that Michael Kiske and Kai Hansen are both back in the band. I love Andi Deris and he has done an amazing job all these years, but Michael Kiske's voice was and still is PHENOMENAL!!! I love the whole catalog that Helloween has done, but Walls Of Jericho, Keeper Of The Seven Keys part 1 and part 2 in my opinion are their MASTERPIECES. Those three albums are just as amazing now as they were thirty years ago. I am really looking forward to their next album to listen to Michael Kiske's singing, and Kai Hansen's guitar playing and especially Kai's songwriting. Kai Hansen in my opinion was Helloween's best songwriter ever.

Eu sonhei muito tempo com isso....Kiske está cantando muito, demais....a galera compara com o Kiske novo que tinha a voz muito mais aguda no entanto hoje em dia ele aprendeu a usá-la melhor....tá mais agradável....e ainda atingindo tons altíssimos, aliás o Deris também atinge, porém com outra técnica que não combina muito com os sons antigos.

About 30 years ago, I listened to it a lot.I don't have most of the CDs I owned at that time, but I have them carefully.I came here because I wanted to listen to the story of helloeen with my followers on Twitter for the first time in a while.I almost cried when I listened to the keeper of the seven keys, and I was very impressed when I listened to Eagle fly free.Above all, the fact that Kiske is singing in the same voice as he was at that time is too great."There was no strange arrangement for the performance, so I clearly remembered the feeling and smell of that time."I want you to stay active while I'm alive.Thank you for the wonderful video, sound and song.
